I could not recommend Brasserie D enough. This will be my go-to restaurant when I am looking for a nice date night with my wife. Every plate we had was absolutely excellent. While the price range is what you would expect at a higher-end restaurant, the portion sizes are large and much better value for your dollar than similar restaurants. The steak tartare was the stand out dish for me, it was seasoned perfectly. The service was excellent as well and our waiter was very attentive. I very much look forward to my next visit here!

I have yet to eat anything less than spectacular here. The mussels, duck, and steak tartare in particular have been phenomenal, and it’s near impossible to pick a favorite dessert (but if I had to choose it’s the crème brûlée). I’m sure the drink menu is great too but I’ve never read it since Christoph always seems to know exactly what drink I’m in the mood for. Do yourself a favor and stop by for a cocktail or some food, for me there’s no better place to relax in Nyack.

They accommodated our party of 15 that day. It was easy to schedule, and the manager/owner made it without hesitance or a deposit. The food was excellent. The service timing was ideal. We felt taken care of and had a great time. I recommend this place for significant family events or just dinner for 2.

Food was good with one major exception. My husband’s mussels had ice in them-yes ice. The waiter took them and Never came back, no apology, nothing. We told the manager who said they were low on mussels so they ran to the supermarket, bought mussels and dumped them into the pot. Some of the mussels weren’t even open and therefore not safe to eat. I hope my husband doesn’t get sick. In the meantime, they were out of diet soda but wouldn’t pick up a 2 liter bottle at the supermarket. Customer service, food quality and general judgment is questionable. We will not be returning.

Super disappointed. As a prior fan of Alain’s I had high expectations. I was left severely disappointed! Food was bland, super small helpings, way and I mean way overpriced ($26 for a mushroom ravioli- with barely 3 pieces as an entree) and literally NO vegetarian options on the menu besides the ravioli… miss the old menu and apparently the old chef. Only good thing was the service.

Service was great, server knew how to answer all of my questions which I appreciate. Great wine menu. The food was incredible, light (but the plates were heavy!) and simply delicious. This is some great French food, and it’s farm to table which I LOVE!
