Possibly one of the best Haitian food in Queens or maybe in all of New York City.
No Haitian patties, or signature drinks. The good food makes up for it.

Pretty good Haitian food. Lively atmosphere with an awesome live band on Sundays. Definitely recommend if you are in the mood for classic Haitian food. The menu is a little limited but still very well done.

I would of given a negative star if it was an option. The repass of my uncle was held here. It wasn’t a pleasant experience at all. My sister who arranged everything with the owner was a bit taken back with the lack of professionalism, let alone empathy when we arrived. We came from out of town to mourn with family and friends at this establishment due to it being Haitian owned but there’s always a first time and a last time to everything. And this is the last time that we will support this business.

I would suggest the owner and staff take a course in leadership, etiquette and customer service because this is not it.

Okay, rating of 1 for effort right? I wish I could rate lower… Here’s my experience:

I’ll start with the fact that this restaurant was booked as the venue for my uncle’s repass. I am not from the area and traveled to this establishment with the highest hopes of attending to attend to my mourning family with ease.

Upon entering this business, it appeared beautifully set up with the arrangement that was presented in the small space utilized. No one greeted anyone, no one assisted with letting individuals know that there were appetizers available and no one even dared to give any ounce of a condolence based on the occasion.

Moving on, appetizers are being served until a batch of tasteless soup joumou comes out – people were made aware by observing others get up on their own and head to the serving area.

On to the next, a few of us figured while we wait on the actual food to come out, we’d have a few sips from what was displayed behind the bar; however, to our surprise, the bar was “closed” and we were advised that there was no available bartender. No bartender and a closed bar for a repass!? An occasion that calls for different types of mourning and grief outlets!?

Let’s continue, food is finally out – again, no announcement, no direction, just observation of one person getting up and leading the way. The food was minimal and the amount given to each guest was peasant-like.

I ended up leaving soon after the food was served and was told that my sister, who is a NY resident, got into it with the owner. Apparently, she was asking for too much?

I was livid. I already had my reserves about the place upon entering it – mean-mugging, lazy and unprofessional staff and now, to hear that the OWNER shared words? It’s the audacity, it’s the disrespect, the continued unprofessionalism and improper etiquette.

In conclusion, spending so much money was USELESS – first and last time. As a fellow Haitian, shame on you for not utilizing the PRIDE that is supposedly instilled in all of us.

Haitian Take out food restaurant. The food is good. This restaurant is only in person order or take out. There are no tables, so don’t expect to seatdown with a friend or significant other to eat. If you’re buying legumes, be careful with the container as the oil from the legumes could fall on your clothes. I hope they consider better food containers. Their food is delicious.

Their carribean food isn’t so bad. They need to add some vegetables to attract more people to their location. Brasserie Creole isn’t the same place where my friends and I used to hang out in the 90’s.

The food was very disappointing, the food was bland held a Repass service there, and let me tell you DISAPPOINTED. During the initial sit down with the owner, he sounded like he understood the assignment and definitely took his security deposit just for the day to arrive, and he didn’t execute what my family asked for. Then over charge because he stated we went over capacity, and he never notified my family and just billed us after the event was over. When we asked why, he didn’t notify us. Bad business, man, and definitely need to get better cooks in the kitchen.

Worst experience in my life!! New management (cook) is awful. The food was awful and I use to love going to this restaurant. They really need to change the cook because this restaurant was #1 place to eat a few years ago. The food has no taste, it’s not prepared well, and it’s far from the Haitian standard of cooking. The owner seems very nice but he needs to change the cook!!!

The 3 is due to terrible service at the takeout section. One lady in general with the Puff she rushes you and lacks general hospitality. The cashier girl was kind tho.

Now the food4/5 great quality and worth the price. A tad on the high end side but it’s okay. Rice is great, goat turkey and seafood are GREAT.

Clean up your staff’s behavior

This place should be closed down and renovate… Mold and mildew in the ceiling. Food got worst, salty and oily. Must of not payed the person that used to do the cooking. I remember the days of the food being good at that place. Not stepping foot back in that place. Good taste here I come
