Brasserie Blanc in Winchester offers classic French food as well as some wonderful new dishes inspired by Raymond Blanc’s travels. We have something for everyone, so if you don’t have a ‘taste for adventure’ then tuck into great steaks, burgers, fishcakes and awesome desserts.
Our brasseries are warm and welcoming with comfortable spaces where you can gather with friends, family or colleagues for a leisurely lunch, our seasonal, two course set menu or dishes from our extensive a la carte menu. Many of our restaurants have great little bars and lovely outside areas where you can stave off the hunger until dinner with a glass of wine, a beer or a refreshing cocktail.

Had a lovely meal. The only thing I was a little disappointed in was my main course. I had chicken fricassee and thought it would be small pieces of chicken rather than a single chicken leg. Having said that, the sauce was beautiful, as was every other part of the meal.

Took advantage of the great deal of 50 percent off mains when buying 2 courses for my birthday. Lovely touch that the waiting staff sang happy birthday to me.loved the horse radish sorbet that came with the beetroot terrine. Trout was delicious. All served up by a friendly waitress.

Super supper at Brasserie Blanc this evening. The restaurant was full and buzzing even at 6.30. The food was delicious -SteakTartare, and Tartine of Wild Mushrooms followed by the Cod Grenobloise with the fish perfectly cooked. The staff at Winchester are always welcoming and helpful, a particular thanks to Gabriella this evening. Amazing value with the January discount on Mains. Thank you!

We ate in this restaurant on 30th December and it was very good. I had duck cassoulet and my wife had Toulouse Sausages. Both were excellent with decent sized portions. I had some concerns about paying extra for side vegetables, yet we ordered one between us and couldn’t eat all of it. The wine, merlot, was also good. The only downside was the length of time before our dishes arrived but that left more time to soak up the atmosphere.

Food very good, although carrot too soft.
Dessert was slightly disappointing as the description said, “Autumn Still Life”, and was just like a painting on the plate with not much to eat.

Great summer night out to your classic movie night with a 3-course meal. Loved the old 1959 movie ‘some like it hot’. Food was, as always, delicious.

Came here on a Friday late lunch after enjoying a day in Winchester. They offer some good 2 and 3 course deals, but we had our heart set on the chateaubriand steak. We ordered this and the baguette with dips to enjoy while waiting for the steak to be cooked. The place is very spacious and nicely laid out, with an open plan kitchen upstairs. Staff here are very good. Our meal was very good paired with a good red wine as well. The only criticism is the mark up on the wine. But this is something that happens everywhere.
