Excellent food! We were pleasantly surprised. The Egg drop soup was exceptional! How can egg drop soup be exceptional? Glad you asked, because I did too….water based, no starch or msg…cabbage. I had lemon chicken, he had ginger chicken, both were great and the veggies were nice and crispy. Prices were good as well.

Owner is a nice guy. I love Chinese food but nothing I ordered tasted good from this place. Ordered egg drop soup, Mongolian chicken, and low mein. I have never taken food back but I ate 2 bites and took it back this time. Takes an acquired taste, not the normal Chinese food taste you expect.

I’ve lived in Fremont my whole life and I have been to his restaurant I handful of times. Even though their food is good (hence, why I gave them two starts vs one). It seems like every time I’ve gone there, the owner of this restaurant is INCREDIBLY rude, unnecessarily direct, and very short (especially to new customers). The only time I’ve seen him “some-what” nice is if there’s people who are regulars. We called to get a pint of each of his soups today (because they do taste good) and he told me he was too busy to make extra soup, he shouted when I asked him to repeat the sizes, and he hung up before I even finished our conversation. Needless to say, it will be a while for me personally. Hopefully, it’ll be under new and nicer ownership soon.

I love Chinese food, as does my entire family. When walking into this restaurant, it’s very musty smelling. Very old looking. Needs lots of updates. The buffet was disappointing. I heard from locals that ordering from the menu is better, which it has to be. They mix chicken and pork, i.e.: sesame chicken and pork. The glasses to drink from are for children. I think we had to refill 4 or 5 times throughout the meal. We were very disappointed with this experience.

Best Chinese food in town. Good fresh ingredients and always consistent. Fu the owner is a great guy, a couple reviews state that he is rude… he’s just direct. I don’t even like egg drop soup but theirs is great I sometimes go only to get the soup. Great family owned establishment will always come back!

Best Chinese food I’ve ever had. Better then any place I’ve eaten in Omaha. The hot and sour soup is my favorite!! If you are in Fremont you absolutely have to check this place out!!

The owner was a great guy. Looked like it was under staffed but then again we were there in the afternoon also. The soups were good and the wife enjoyed the sweet and sour chicken. My general tso was ok just a different style that I personally didn’t prefer but was still decent. The crab ragoons and egg rolls was the bomb. Decent Chinese food for travelers

This will the last time my husband and I eat anything from here. Buffet is small & over priced, musty smells & very small almost child sized glasses. We ordered take out & what was supposed to fried rice, ended up being stale, steamed rice. It made me sickbto my stomach. Hyvee’s chinese is better tasting and better priced.

Well, it’s closing night at the Brass Wok ! I was in a line on 23rd St. that went back to Burger King! A lot of people getting their last meal there!
