Italian Grinder a must try
Stop for lunch with no expectations. The service was great. The atmosphere was pretty nice but my Italian grinder was shocking. I think due to the reasonable price my expectations were lowered..
When I first saw its size and all the crust I thought some flavor will be out of balance but I was wrong – totally wrong. Again. It was soo good “IF” I could have physically eaten the whole thing I would have. There’s plenty enough for two people. The homemade potato chips and dip is really good also.
Just a little background. I love Italian subs so much. My grandson and I went around to about seven different restaurants week after week to find our personal favorite. Although this is technically not a sub, it be near the top of the list.

We had the same server twice now and she is awesome. Super efficient and friendly and always around if you need anything. Which we didn’t because she brings everything you may need without asking. The food is fresh and delicious. The price for lunch was reasonable also. My salad is my favorite thing. Create your own salad with toppings and pizza. Thanks for another great lunch!

I live 2 hours away, but I’m in the area a few times a year. I’ve been to Brass Monkey every time. I wish more restaurants had build your own salad option. The reason we keep going back, though, is the awesome woman who is always there when we go in weekday afternoons. It’s crazy how she handles so many customers at once and is really nice while doing it. She could teach a master class in being awesome !

We had the hot honey pizza, it’s more sweet than spicy but just add some crushed red pepper and it’s just so so good. They had a little live music which was great and when he left the music was still really good. Very friendly people. The large build your own salad was huge. We were a party of 2 and took some home. Im sure that could feed at least 4 people. 2nd time I’ve come and can’t wait till my mom and her partner come to visit because I’m bringing them here.

A seat yourself establishment. With a friendly staff and great food. What more could you ask for? Pop culture art decorated the walls. Plus, different movies were being played in eyes veiw. Next time I am in Michigan, I will definitely be visiting again.

A great hidden gem for us travelers. Bartender was a blast. Good pizza and good food. Also great atmosphere to meet up with friends or to bring family.
