As someone originally from Southern California, I do not say this lightly. Authentic Mexican food is hard to find in Florida, and Brasas Tacos absolutely delivers.
Guacamole
This is hands down the most authentic guacamole I have had since moving to Florida in 2007. The guacamole is fresh, well-seasoned, and clearly made with care. The portion is generous, and the chip-to-guacamole ratio is perfect. You are never left scraping the bottom of the container or overloaded with chips and no dip. Every bite is balanced, satisfying, and exactly what great guacamole should be.
Tamales
The tamales are outstanding. They are thick, moist, and packed with flavor. Not dry, not crumbly, but rich, juicy, and deeply comforting. Especially impressive is the value. Even ordering through DoorDash, the price feels more than fair for the quality and size. These are tamales are definitely handmade, not mass-produced.
Quesabirria
This is the star of the entire menu. Brasas Tacos’ quesabirria is exceptional. The birria is intensely flavorful with a deep, savory umami profile that lingers in the best way possible. The meat is tender, the tortillas are perfectly prepared, and the consommé is so good I could honestly drink it on its own. I have ordered from Brasas multiple times specifically because of this dish, and it never disappoints. It is crave-worthy in the truest sense.
Presentation & Delivery
These photos were taken immediately upon opening the styrofoam clamshells, exactly as the food arrived. Everything was neatly packed, visually appealing, and clearly handled with care. For delivery, the presentation was excellent and added to the overall experience.

You really can’t get enough of this hidden gem of a food truck. Family recipes and a nice warm smile every single time we come. The owner, Elmer, is top notch as a business owner and the food is bar none, the best authentic Mexican tacos you can get, complete with limes and salsa rojo and salsa verde. Some decent drink selection along with imported classics. I went for the tried and true Mexican Coke—a giant sized cold bottle for a fair price of $4. Magnificent!
