Outstanding Peruvian Experience – Highly Recommend!
I recently dined at Brasas Peru Bistro Bar and had an absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish. This place truly delivers on every level – exceptional food, attentive service, and a welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home.
Manuel, the manager, went above and beyond to ensure our visit was memorable. His genuine warmth and hospitality set the tone for the entire evening. You can tell he takes real pride in creating a great experience for every guest, and his attention to detail doesn’t go unnoticed.
The food was outstanding – authentic, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Every dish we tried showcased the rich, vibrant flavors of Peruvian cuisine. The service was impeccable throughout our meal, with our servers being both knowledgeable and attentive without being intrusive.
The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance – lively enough to feel energetic but comfortable enough for great conversation. Whether you’re looking for a special night out or a casual dinner with friends, Brasas Peru Bistro Bar delivers.
If you’re looking for authentic Peruvian cuisine paired with top-notch hospitality, this is your spot. We’ll definitely be back!

Took my girlfriend here for her birthday to try a place we haven’t been. I’ve had Peruvian food before from Queens but it was just rotisserie chicken, beans, and rice, with this slightly spicy green sauce. Don’t wrong, it was really good.
So the atmosphere of this establishment is warm and inviting. It’s a cozy intimate setting with a south-american vibe to it. The tables are set with clay bowls on top of placemats with decorative south-american designs. The utensils are uniquely shaped that were set on a small resting block that resembles stone. There’s these cute tiny lamps that illuminated the table just enough that it wasn’t overbearing but enough to see your table.
Let’s get to the food. For an appetizer we ordered Causa. Peruvian yellow potatoes seasoned with yellow papper, avocado and crab tartar, topped with potato chips and Gulf sauce. Now the potatoe chips aren’t what you may envision; they’re finely grated which what appear to be sweet potatoes, into spiral-shaped strings. I’ve always wanted to try tartar but have always been skeptical, but let me tell you something, you’d dish did not disappoint!! It was BY FAR the most amazing dish I’ve ever had!!! There was so many different flavors with each fork-full that complimented each other in a way I have never experienced. The dish is served on a plate that resembles a really thick flattened stone. For the entrees we both went with the smoked salmon (cuz you can never go wrong with salmon). It is lightly smoked smoked served on a bed of rustic potatoes and asparagus in passion fruit sauce and chili butter. When I say phenomenal, I mean ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL!!!! It was aslo served with the slightly spicy green sauce as well as a yellow sauce of similar texter but was not spicy. I also ordered a side of red beans. The portion sizes were just right; not underwhelmingly small and not enormous; just right. For a beverage I went with the pineapple juice, which I must say tasted amazingly fresh and authentic, garnished with a slice of dehydrated pineapple which complimented the meal PERFECTLY. I have NEVER had a meal that was as full-filling and delicious as this. Every bite tasted heavenly!!! For desert we went with Alfajor; homemade style cookie filled with dulce de Leche, topped with powdered sugar and i believe it was raspberry drizzle, and slivers of strawberry in whipped cream and mint leaves.
My girlfriend and I were looking for a new place to call “our spot” and we found it. We most certainly will be returning time and time again.
Manuel, the manager was very nice, helpful, patient, and accommodating. A small detail I noticed that I can appreciate is he served and handled the meals and drinks with black nitrile gloves. Thank you for that. As far as pricing, wasn’t that expensive at all. I think the price reflected the portion sizez. Our dinner totalled $140 with gratuity included.
In conclusion, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND you give this place a try if you’re looking for something a little different than some of the “regular” establishments in Huntington Village.
Thank you to Manuel, the staff, and the outstanding chef and cooking personnel for a wonderful dining experience. We will see you soon!!!

Amazing peruvian food! Been here twice already and tried the bar food last time and sat down for dinner here this time around. Tried the smoked ceviche and the seafood chaufa this time around. Both were delicious. I had a pisco to drink which was made well. I’m looking forward to trying more dishes

The service was super attentive and cordial, and the food was fresh and delicious. I had the “Pollo a la brasa” lunch and it was a generous and tasty portion. I’ll definitely be back to try other dishes.

The food and drinks were beautiful and tasted very delicious. I would recommend ordering the steak dish, salmon dish, and the half chicken dish. It had so much flavor and it was plated beautifully.

Brasas Peru is one of Huntington’s best new restaurants. We came for lunch and left very happy after a feast of causa with crab and a generous rotisserie chicken platter, washed down with delicious passion fruit pisco sours. Thank you, Rommy, for your excellent service and warm hospitality. We’ll be back for sure!

I realized the pictures on their website are way different than what you actually get at the place. I’m guessing that’s how they draw you in.This place is overrated and overpriced, likely because of the location rather than the quality of food and service.

The lomo salteado was disappointing, tough meat, only a 4 small strips over mostly potatoes, and priced at $40 (the same price as their skirt steak dish $41).

The Chicken Personal Combo ($30.00) — which includes 1/2 rotisserie chicken, green salad, and one side-was dry, overly salty, and lacked real flavor.

As an appetizer, we ordered salchipapa and were charged $15 for what was essentially a plate of French fries — one of those “where’s the beef?” moments, except it was the hot dogs missing.

In the end, we paid $200 for a meal for 3, that was absolutely not worth the price and was very poor quality. There are much better Peruvian restaurants with authentic flavor at half the cost.

I was pleasantly impressed by Brasas Peru. The ambiance is exquisite—romantic lighting, a gorgeous ceiling, and a beautiful cherry blossom display that sets the mood instantly. The live music was outstanding, with the musician moving from Billy Joel and Whitney Houston to Latin classics while playing percussion. It created the perfect atmosphere.

The service was exceptional. Our waitress, Ele, was lovely, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcomed.

My husband and I sat at the bar for cocktails and appetizers. We ordered the fried calamari and the spicy seafood ceviche—both were delicious. The ceviche marinade was so good I was sipping it with a spoon, and the marinated onions that came with the calamari were amazing.

I’ll definitely be returning to try the entrées.
