By bringing together the asado culture of Colombia, Brazil, and Argentina, locally renowned Colombian-born chef Edgar Caro and co-owner Antonio Mata have created Brasa, a South American steakhouse. The menu is crafted from the culinary influences of Chef Caro’s childhood and showcases specialty Prime cuts of meat, including Wagyu, whole fish, double-cut pork chops, and whole chicken. Brasa is rich in the open-fire traditions of Caro’s childhood and utilizes a modern, dry-aging process with Himalayan salt.

My experience at Brasa in New Orleans was absolutely phenomenal from start to finish. Every dish was beautifully presented and full of flavor from the delicious appetizers (Ceviche & Pan de Bono) to the perfectly cooked steak (Vacio) and Colifor and the decadent dessert brownie that ended the night on a sweet note. The atmosphere was warm and elegant, making it the perfect spot for an evening out. Let’s not forget my Hibiscus Margarita was 10/10 recommend.

What truly made the night unforgettable was the incredible staff. The Trouble Twins, Elijah and Zariah, along with Joe and Vanessa, were nothing short of amazing! Their energy, professionalism, and friendly personalities made us feel right at home. They went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect.

If you’re in New Orleans and looking for an exceptional dining experience Brasa is the place to be!

I don’t usually go out of my way to write reviews, but this experience truly earned one.

From the moment we walked into Brasa Steakhouse, everything felt intentional and elevated. We were greeted warmly, seated smoothly, and the atmosphere immediately set the tone for an amazing night. But what truly made the experience exceptional was our waitress, Nataly.

My friend and I ordered the Chuleton De Res for 2, along with the Parmesan fries and Brussels sprouts. We initially wanted the steak medium-well, but Nataly confidently recommended medium and thank God we trusted her. It came out absolutely perfect. Beautiful crust, tender center, juicy, flavorful…cooked exactly how a premium cut should be. Every bite was elite.

The Parmesan fries were crisp and packed with flavor, and the Brussels sprouts were roasted perfectly with incredible balance. Everything was executed with care and precision.

What stood out even more was Nataly’s knowledge and passion. She took the time to tell us about the owners, their backgrounds, and the other prominent restaurants they’ve founded in New Orleans. That level of storytelling made the experience feel personal and meaningful…not just another dinner reservation. Because of her, we’ll absolutely be visiting their other concepts soon.

Service like that is rare. Nataly wasn’t just a waitress, she was an experience curator. Attentive, professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely warm. She truly made our night.

From greeting to seating to the flawless food and unforgettable service, this place is a gem. 10/10 across the board. We’ll definitely be back. Thank you Brasa for the amazing service & unforgettable meal

Just shared a delicious dinner for two. Had the empanadas, pan de bono, the picanha and the special 16oz ribeye, with al gratin and brussels sprouts. Ended with a very yummy brown butter pound cake.

Every thing was top notch and exceeded expectations. The atmosphere is a vibe. The service was amazing, Nataly, was our server and she did a phenomenal job explaining and recommending the menu to its fullest.

Was a truly great experience while visiting New Orleans.

I had the pleasure of being served by Celma, and she absolutely made our dining experience exceptional. From the moment we sat down, she was incredibly attentive, kind, and genuinely helpful. She anticipated our needs without ever being intrusive and went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect.

I went yesterday to try the coolinary menu and everything was excellent. I love the empanadas and the ceviche with the plantain chips. I’d say I really prefer the passion fruit pisco but the regular pisco is also good. The flan is just 100/10 we really loved it! Our server Elijah was very nice and kept checking on us all the time. We really liked him. Great experience!

My wife and I stayed at the Westin after a cruise here in New Orleans. We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance, wanting to stay closer to our room and exhausted. Have to say, this place is amazing. We shared the ceviche- honestly, second best I’ve ever had (hulas in Monterey being the best, but that’s for another review- not an onion fan, so I appreciate big pieces of fresh fish, and they did not disappoint.) you have to try their short rib Mac and cheese- so good it should be illegal. And our burger was perfectly cooked and served by the chef himself who checked in on us, in addition to our stellar server, Chris. I know you have a lot of wonderful dining choices in New Orleans, but if you end up down this way, it’s well worth a visit. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed.

Mirror Image Photo Booths
Mirror Image Photo Booths has had the pleasure of being booked at BRASA as a vendor for their Santa Brunch, and most recently working with them to host a private dinner party for our cousin. Each experience has been absolutely wonderful from start to finish.

The staff, especially Elijah and Fernanda, were an absolute pleasure to work with. They are incredibly professional while also being warm, personable, and genuinely welcoming, which makes all the difference when collaborating on events.

And I cannot leave out the food and drinks. Everything was phenomenal. The flavors, presentation, and overall dining experience were top tier. If you are dining with a group, I highly recommend the family style experience. It is perfect for sharing, connecting, and truly enjoying everything BRASA has to offer.

We highly recommend BRASA for events, private dinners, or simply an amazing meal with exceptional service.

We had an incredible experience celebrating my birthday at Brasa New Orleans! From start to finish, everything was seamless. The event coordinator Fernanda (Fern) was absolutely amazing—she went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Our servers, Nataly and Kendrick, were outstanding and provided exceptional service throughout the night.

What stood out most was how attentive the entire team was—not only to us, but also to our vendors. Fern helped our decorators get everything set up and made sure our photographer had what she needed, which made the evening stress-free and enjoyable.

We will definitely be back, and I highly encourage everyone to give this place a try. If you’re looking for a spot that combines great food, top-notch service, and a welcoming atmosphere, Brasa is it!

Seated after confirming reservation. Walking past the Himalayan salt aging room for the beef and wine room (which were both very beautiful) seated in a comfortable crescent booth. Ordered a few cocktails and an appetizer, a salad, and a burger. Everything was made to order, and the appetizer was hand-made.
