We arrived around 6pm on a Saturday. The main room has nice decor. There was one large party we saw, but the main area only had one table sat. When they sat us we asked for a different table because it wasn’t level and right by the door but was told no. I ordered short ribs med, but one of them came out pretty rare. My wife is Portuguese so when we go to a Portuguese restaurant or bakey she expects authentic Portuguese food that she grew up on. She ordered Bife à Portuguesa. She said the egg tasted like it was fried in old oil, and there so many chips you couldn’t see the meat. For dessert she got a Baba de Camelo. She didn’t eat it because it was full of pecan or walnuts. She didn’t expect it to be that was because it’s normally only has a few for decoration. Our waitress was good, but I felt bad for her because the other table also returned 2 items because they said it wasn’t prepared correctly. Over all the price doesn’t meet the quality or authenticity of Portuguese food.

The atmosphere and the fun live cultural music was nice. Dinning area was so beautiful it’s nice to bring your mother, family, friends, and romantic relationships. The food was amazing and the live music was so nice it feel like your in the Caribbean or on a cruise.

Very nice Portuguese restaurant. We ordered a kid plate because I was not hungry so the portion would be small and the ribs with shrimps. Everything was well made and tasty!! The desserts are delicious and traditional.

It’s a beautiful restaurant, very simple but unique decor. Although very quickly, everything started derailing. I asked the waitress if we could sit at a more private table because we were taken to a table 3 feet from the entrance door, and the answer was a very stiff NO! The restaurant is huge, so I’m not sure why they couldn’t even try to accommodate us. The flamed chorizo was good. The juices are not made from fresh fruit, they probably are store bought juices with ice. We ordered Bife à portuguesa and short ribs. The presentation of the ribs was great, the other dish, all you saw was potato chips, nothing else! Very bad presentation. While we were waiting, the table next to us sent some of their food back, I guess they were having problems with it, too. The egg on my steak tasted like oil that was used over and over again. The ribs were supposed to be cooked medium, half was rare, and the other half was medium. The desserts, pana cota was okay, baba de Camelo totally not how we make it in Portugal, at all. I had to send it back. There were peanuts on the bottom, middle, and top. It felt like it was a peanut butter dessert. Total disappointment. I did tell the waitress about my concerns, and my dessert was taken out of the bill. I’m Portuguese, i cook very well and know my culture and the flavors of our food. Its just sad that they set themselves up for failure. Parking is terrible. Will not comeback, unfortunately!

This restaurant is most definitely overrated. I did not find the food to be anything special, especially for the prices they charge. My husband’s plate was okay, but mine was bacalhau à brás, and it had an overwhelming amount of onions far more onions than potatoes or bacalhau which actually made me feel sick.

My daughter ordered a steak medium well, and it came out burnt, and her rice tasted old. Overall, we were very disappointed. The restaurant is expensive and, in our experience, not worth what they charge.

Where to start? We have our Christmas party here and everyone always enjoys it! Food is awesome – where else can you eat octopus, flaming chorizo, seafood, steaks and paella and so many more specially prepared dishes? The variety available on the menu is fantastic! Great Portuguese red wine and great service by Gabriel means we’ll be back to visit often!

Food is pretty good. I love the soup and service usually not bad, but this last time. (Now) I was gonna order to take out. 2 soups all I wanted was 2 soups. But the young kid, very nice, soft spoken, to soft spoken had no time to take my order. Was a little busy only saw 1 person no one helping. And he didn’t have a whole lot of spunk you need spunk, wake up! But besides to slow no spunk yes very polite, he was chatting at the bar as I waited to try and order food. I ended up walking out with out ordering.
Girls are usually good, quick. This kid has a lot to learn, you can be sweet kind but need spunk. Worst think for me is a long time to order then not being able to order. No I have to uber my food from elsewhere if it’s Portuguese then make it Portuguese not Brasilian. The foods are not the same. The beef does have to much nerve and fat. The croquettes are not Portuguese, not even close. Use to be better. Hei I’ll try manuels

Cute spot for great Portuguese staples! Was very impressed by the Bitoque beef with chips. The chimichurri chicken didn’t have enough chimichurri sauce but the garlic veggies were delish!! Comfortable atmosphere and good for larger groups with a reservation. Also have a great outdoor patio with heaters. Will come back to try more appetizers and for their happy hour!

This place is Trash. Ordered a steak cooked medium, came WELL DONE Burnt even. And the menu says the steak comes with mashed potatoes but mine came with…. POTATO CHIPS. Menu said it comes with 2 tiger shrimp. Actually came with 1 tiger shrimp, and 1 SHRIMP HEAD WITH NO EDIBLE PARTS.
Valid complaints only, this place is Trash. Capital T.

We had a wonderful dinner there while traveling through the area. The atmosphere was wonderful, very clean and well maintained. Loved the tables with the thick natural wood. The service and food was wonderful. The “Polvo A Brasa Com Camarao” (Octopus and Shrimp with potatoes) was a huge serving and prepared to my liking. My wife enjoyed the Medalhao Com Risotto (Beef medallions with risotto) while my daughter enjoyed the Picanha Skewer (Steak served with rice, farofa and salad). Everything about this experience made us happy about this choice as we passed through CT on our way to Mass. Hope to be back soon. ps- The live music on a Thurs evening made it really festive too!
