I forgot how truly delicious the food is at Brasa. I needed to pick up food for an event, and decided to get take out.
We started with the fried sweet plantains, really caramelized and yummy. They are served with an interesting green dipping sauce. Lovely. We had the pulled pork sandwich, which is served with pickles and green sauce. The meat was so tender, and the accomplishments really complemented the pork. I absolutely adored the smothered chicken sandwich, which is served with red sauce and coke slaw. My goodness – this was DELICIOUS! They both came with house made tortilla chips – these were just as yummy the next day!
I enjoyed the butterscotch pudding also. The only slightly negative note was the chocolate cake, which was dry despite the whipped cream and topping.
I heartily recommend Brasa, in particular that fabulous smothered chicken!!
You can eat in, or order for takeout also.

The entire menu looks amazing! It was hard to choose! Ordered chicken chilaquiles verde with a side of yucca fries and fried plaintains. The green sauce is so incredibly good. Everything was cooked perfectly. Service was great! Attentive but not overbearing. Atmoshere was busy but not distracting or unpleasant! Absolutely will stop here anytime I am in town!!!

We had Brasa cater our wedding and they were absolutely incredible! From start to finish, they were efficient, easy to communicate with, and so accommodating to our needs. The food was absolutely amazing—our guests couldn’t stop talking about it. On top of that, they went above and beyond by leaving us a thoughtful to-go bag with food and champagne at the end of the night. It was the perfect touch after such a special day. Highly recommend Brasa for any wedding or event!

Truly unique dishes like I’ve never had anywhere else, I had one of the chicken bowls, my customer had the pork bowl, the Yuca fries with the green sauce were awesome, the sauce was so good I bought a bottle to add to dishes at home.

We’ve been frequent customers for over a decade. The quality and consistency of their dishes are amazing. The collards w/ smoked chicken are without equal and I’m from the south. And if that weren’t enough, the portions are most generous, which makes dining at Brasa an excellent value. Dine in, take out, or delivery, you won’t be disappointed. Thank goodness they’re not downtown!

Yum! Delicious. So happy that I discovered this gem. So far I’ve ordered take out online twice & looking forward to trying more of their foods. I’ve tried their Chicken Salad Sandwich, Smothered Pulled Chicken, Slow Roasted Pork, Yellow Rice, Crispy Yuca, Red Beans, Black Beans, Sweet Cornbread, Green Sauce, Red Sauce, Habanero Vinegar & I’ve enjoyed all of it. Hidden gem! I came here for the 1st time last week for a staff meeting. Upon arriving, everyone was extrmelely friendly. We were seated immediately and given menus to review. I ordered the rotisserie chicken with Yuca fries, Mac and cheese, and cornbread. Everything arrived very quickly. I’ve been to numerous restaurants, and the wait time here was almost non-existent. The food came out within 5 to 7 minutes of ordering. The waiter was extremely attentive and continuously returned to see how we were doing and checked in to see how everything tasted. The rotisserie chicken I ordered with the green sauce was phenomenal. The mac and cheese and everything else was exceptional. I would definitely return. I had a really great experience and the environment was very welcoming.

One of our family favorites whenever we go through Minneapolis! The food is always fantastic, authentic & fresh!!!
I always go with a BOWL! I recommend the smothered chicken (it’s so moist) or the pork bowl! Everytime we go I buy a hot vinegar to take home as well. Brasa would easily be a 5 star place but the recent move to QR code orders is a bit frustrating.

Their rice continues to be delicious. Their meat is also great. I feel the two items to improve are the sweet corn bread and coleslaw. Make sure to order a sangria

Stopped in for lunch and was very impressed with the food. Collard greens were delicious as well as the smoked beef. Hard to find this good of smoked food in Minneapolis for a reasonable price so definitely will be back. Can’t recommend enough.
