I’ve been to Branka’s multiple times now. They have a small section for hot European food, a sitting area upstairs, a few European groceries, and lots of baked goods. I’ve tried mostly croissants and pretzels — both filled and plain croissants are excellent, and the pretzels were fantastic warmed up at home (they’ll also warm them at the bakery, of course). The baked goods are a good size for the price, and the filled croissants can easily be shared. Prices are on the higher end, with filled croissants ranging from $7–$10 and plain at $3.50. On my first visit, right after opening, there were no prices listed, which was odd, but that was fixed by the next time I went. The three different ladies I interacted with during my visits were super friendly and helpful; overall, the customer service was pretty good. One small note: the tipping screen at checkout feels a bit awkward since all orders are placed directly at the counter, and it’s not clear what the tip is meant to cover. All in all, though, the baked goods are outstanding and make the visit worthwhile.

This is an excellent bakery. The service is phenomenal. The place itself is huge with a upstairs table area. You can buy fresh pastries and bread. Word of warning, the bread sells out quickly. It’s that good. There is a large parking lot with plenty of parking. You can get food to go. There is a bar here. They sell beer that is their own label.

We finally had the chance to stop at Branka’s and everything in the place looked amazing. We came in for the hot meals and the desserts and were overwhelmed with choices. We ordered the chicken paprikash and the Hungarian beef goulash to go and the containers were packed full. Both dishes were fantastic.
We also grabbed some desserts and were very pleased. The staff was super friendly and welcoming. Since we live close by this will definitely be a go-to spot for us. Great food, great people, and absolutely a must-stop place.

We went here to grab lunch. When you walk in you have to go to the counter to order. They have things like chicken paprikash, Reubens, stuffed cabbage, etc. They also have a large selection of wonderful pastries and desserts to choose from. There is some seating on the second floor and there’s a stand to get your utensils. We had no problem grabbing a table. The chicken paprikash was very good, but the baklava cheesecake was amazing!

My wife and I have been coming here every Sunday for a sweet treat for months now. This morning they were fresh out of the Dubai chocolate croissants and wifey was bummed. One of the bakers from the back overheard and made up a Dubai chocolate croissant right there for her, talk about great service!

Wish we could’ve tried everything! From the schnitzel, saurkraut balls, potato salad, the bakery was amazing! Customer service is impeccable! Pretzel was to die for.

We stopped in today to get a pork schnitzel sandwich and German potato salad. The sandwich was delicious! The potato salad was also wonderful. The staff is friendly and helpful. We are so happy to see the new business is busy and doing well! We loved Ritos, but are very impressed with Branka’s Bake Haus! We will definitely be regulars!

This restaurant and shop was recently reopened by the folks behind Der Schnitzel Haus in Parma Heights. With the new management comes great sandwiches, beer, and other great German treats, while still keeping a lot of the pastries that made Rito’s so good. Including the cannoli!

I honestly can’t say enough good things about the cake at Branka’s Haus on Pearl Road in Brunswick. From the very first bite, it felt like the kind of cake that’s made with real care and pride, not rushed or mass-produced. The texture was perfectly moist, the flavors were rich but not too sweet, and everything tasted incredibly fresh. It reminded me of homemade cake—just done better than I could ever manage myself. Every time I’ve had cake from Branka’s Haus, it’s been consistently amazing, and it’s quickly become my go-to spot whenever I want something special. Truly a place I’m always excited to recommend to friends and family. My favorite are the honey and chocolate cake!
