Chef undercover strikes again!
Blackened reddish with mashed potatoes, grilled corn and sautéed peppers for myself. The crust of the fish….. no words on this amazing feat. Lightly oiled so the vegetables get a hint of evening and taste superb!. The fish sells it, even my partner (who refuses to eat fish) likes the taste!!

Marinated fried chicken with fries. The chicken is so moist and juicy, with a hint of sweetness to it. Sadly ran outof chips but the fries were cooked to just under crunchy so they were firm, but am easy item to take home and reheat without turning then to bricks.
Mind you, we lucked out work a strangely quiet night. Now to wait for the brownie a la mode dessert <3

I hit the buffet. Don’t get me wrong it was good but I like to get the food to go through for the price there are other places for the same style food but cheaper to go.
Butt….. this place has more to choose from being a buffet.

The food was very disappointing and definitely not worth the $29.99 (no crab legs) or $39.99 (with crab legs). During my one and only visit, as I have no intention of returning, the individual dishes remained on the buffet until that particular dish was gone before it was replenished, which is probably the norm, but the issue is that the steamers were NOT hot enough to keep the food warm while sitting on the buffet. The whole catfish dish was cold & hard b/c no one was eating it, so it was just sitting on the buffet getting cold. The crab legs were cold & under seasoned. We had to ask the server for warm butter and lemons, as they were not readily available on the bar. Later on the server did bring fresh, hot crab legs to our table, after we complained about them being cold. There were several flies in the dessert area, so no dessert for me, ugh!!! The diced ham on the salad bar was discolored. I tried a bite on my salad and couldn’t eat it b/c it had a bad taste. The staff was great!!!! Very welcoming. Promptly removing dishes and cleaning tables as guests finished and departed. Other than the flies on the dessert bar, “the front of the house”, was clean.

Ive never actually seen the Steakhouse portion of this eatery, but the lunch buffet is one of the best I’ve tried. The food is always fresh and hot. The food area is clean and well maintained. The staff is friendly and this place is always busy. We drive from Jackson, at least once a month to eat here. Highly recommend.
Re: atmosphere…it’s small town humble…no pictures, artwork etc, just walls, tables, chairs and great food.

The food is cooked in old grease I think. The oysters didn’t taste like oysters. I am most shocked at the final bill: 2-regular buffets =$59.98, 2 teas ~$6.00 SHOULD HAVE been $65.98 +tax =$4.62 and a $5 tip. Total was $81.60. We were charged $94.20 and I didn’t know until I checked the bank app. Overcharged $12.60.
This is after I had to eat with a lap full of sweet tea. The waitress, who was very upset with herself and apologizing profusely, accidentally spilled my whole iced tea in my lap (in February). I would have thought that I’d be the last person overcharged that night. MISERABLE “early Valentine’s dinner” and lost even more money than expected. Still want to cry about it. The waitress went out of her way for us, it’s the price jack up that has me most upset.

I will not dismiss them, I was not fully pleased with the food. The frog legs were great but, the fish was hard. Timing is everything when it comes to a buffet. I will give them another try on the buffet and they had some reasonably priced steaks. So, I will try again and update my review accordingly.

Don’t go here! Did not listen so my order was all wrong and WAY too much money for 2 of the worst hamburgers I’ve ever seen – i ordered cheeseburgers but no cheese. Charged $15 each for preformed dry patties. Burned greasy onion rings.I expected better but I should have checked the order- won’t be back.

My and my husband’s first visit. He found it on Facebook, where it had good reviews. It was quaint; yet had ample seating for customers. I look forward to going again so I can sample more! The sugar-free desserts did not look OR taste that way!

If you have nothing nice to say about the employees or their staff members then take your business somewhere else nobody wants to deal with it or the rudeness that you have. I absolutely love this place and enjoy the experience that I get when I come in! Amazing cashiers and waitresses!

Great place to eat! Super sweet staff and quiet atmosphere. If you want a place with tvs on every wall and music blaring, this is not the place for you. This is a nice place the whole family would enjoy.
