Food was room temperature and wife’s burger was medium well at best. Not what it use to be by far. A burger and pork sandwich should take longer than 3-4 minutes if they are cooked fresh and the grits and fries were also barely more than room temperature. 2pm when it slows from lunch may not be a good time to dine in and I’m sure it would have flown under the radar had it been a Togo order. This was a 2nd attempt at redemption from previous visit and we definitely will not be back.

We stopped by Braeden’s BBQ for a quick lunch during the workday and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. They had us in and out in a timely manner without sacrificing quality or service.
The food was excellent—flavorful, fresh, and clearly made with care. The prices were also very reasonable, especially for the portion sizes and quality. On top of that, the service was friendly, efficient, and welcoming.
If you’re looking for great BBQ, fair prices, and fast service when you’re on a schedule, Braeden’s BBQ is definitely worth the stop.

Braeden’s used to be amazing. I am not sure what has happened but it just keeps going down hill. Our family has been enjoying Braeden’s since 2006. We would drive an hour to eat there 2-3 times a month.
2024 came and we had an absolute horrid meal there. Cold bbq, a filthy restaurant that had only been open 30 minutes that day, and had to ask several times to get the rest of the order. They forgot several things.
6 months later we tried again. Still a rather unpleasant experience, a dirty restaurant, a rude staff.
3rd and final strike was today. We decided to see if it had changed. It was 1:30 on a Saturday. Normally, the good Braeden’s would have been packed. We were one of 2 families in there. A not so friendly staff, most were on their cell phones including the ones in the kitchen, the sweet tea was not upto par, the bbq pork had very little smoke flavor and the restaurant was filthy.
Almost 18 years this was our go to place in Kingsport for an amazing meal. It was the place the kids begged to eat at. Now, it’s just sad. Once an absolutely amazing place to eat, now sits pretty much empty and I can see why.

We found this place while doing a search on the Internet. I’m glad we found it. It’s a very small place and would be easily missed. It’s definitely a local place that you have to know where you’re going to find it. But boy is it worth it! The food was awesome! The serving size was huge and definitely worth the price. Staff was very friendly and the place was very clean. The only problem we could see is the same problem every local joint has- very limited space. We were lucky to get one of the last few tables available. But after tasting the food, I can see why. I would highly recommend and we will go back when we go back to Kingsport!

Ordered a side of Mac and Cheese, what I was given was bits and pieces of noodle in cheese. The lady when I called- April- said they can get broken up when stirred, well my entire cup was only broken up pieces not a single noodle was fully formed. This is considered an “upgraded side” but the quality is terrible. I won’t be back. We only came because no bull was closing. This was a horrible impression. I’ve got chunks of meat in my bbq sandwich less shredded than their Mac. Won’t be back other than to get my refund for the “Mac and cheese”

Braeden’s BBQ catered our wedding. Lauren and her mom catered and served the food to our hungry guests. They were amazing and super sweet. The food was amazing and very reasonably priced. Our family loves barbecue and Braeden’s did NOT disappoint! I highly recommend this place for lunch, dinner, and any type of event catering that requires great food!

Please be aware the portion sizes are very small. Ordered a family meal with 2 lbs of meat, came with 6 small buns, 1 qrt of beans and literally like 10 fries. This is supposed to feed. 6 people??? The meat is amazing, but make sure you look at your meal before you leave to verify your getting enough to feed 6. Especially for the price you pay. Very disappointed.

Food was tasty, but we were there before the lunch rush and couldn’t find a clean table. Seemed like the floors hadn’t been mopped, or tables wiped down for days. Sauce bottles sticky and half-filled, trash cans disgusting, sweet tea sugar in a nasty bucket on the floor with spilt sugar all around it. Just generally icky feeling dining experience. Made us wonder what the kitchen looked like.
