This place deserves more reviews. It’s small and I know the owner is always working when we come in. My son-in-law always gets the spicy catfish all you can eat and that boy tears it up!! Hush puppies are phenomenal. I can just eat those. Definitely excited when I get the chance to eat there. I know I have to wear my fat pants for a couple days but worth it!

Completely exceeded expectations. The fried catfish is some of the best I’ve ever had — and that includes fresh-caught, homemade catfish my grandparents made growing up on Lake Buchanan. Excellent apple pie and cheesecake. Hush puppies were great, beans were flavorful, our son had a bacon cheeseburger and it was juicy and fantastic.
Counter service, everything (minus dessert) cooked after you order it, so yes, it takes time, but worth it.

Some mighty fine home fried cooking. I hit the place a few minutes after noon and it was jammed with the local lunch crowd. The seating was tight and I initially had to ask another gentleman if I could join him at his table. Within 10 minutes the local crowd had cleared out and I was able to a separate small table for myself.
Upon entering the restaurant, you first order and pay at the counter just in front of the kitchen. The specialty is fried food, ranging from hamburgers, steaks, chicken fried steak, catfish and shrimp. For dessert they offer divine homemade pies.
After paying for your meal, you serve yourself your desired beverage and then find a place to sit and wait for your order number to be called. The service is prompt and once you identify yourself as the owner of the called number, your order is delivered to where you are sitting.
I had the chicken fried steak. The coating was crunchy and there was a good amount of meat included with the crunch. The mashed taters, gravy and green beans were very tasty and well complimented the CFS. I was too full to try a slice of the homemade pies However I am already scheming to return tomorrow and make a late breakfast out of a slice.

I’ve been wanting to try this restaurant for a while, and I finally did today, and it did not disappoint. I ordered the chicken fried steak, which is the reason I wanted to go, and my wife ordered the 4 piece fish. With their sign saying they had the best chicken fried steak in Texas, they did not disappoint. Every bite I had meat, unlike other restaurants, and the meat was tender and flavorful. My wife’s opinion about her fish was that it was too salty. I tried it, and it was good to me, so it really is just a person’s preference. She also said that the hushpuppies were really good. I definitely enjoyed the restaurant and will definitely go back to try their all you can eat catfish.

. I got the catfish. It was amazing. I really enjoyed it. The hush puppies were very good. The fries were homemade and really good. My husband and son got the burgers. They said they were ok. They were just a little dry. My youngest got the Dino nuggets and loved them. The price was not too bad. The drinks cost extra even if you buy a combo meal. If you stop by I highly suggest the catfish. It will not disappoint.

We stopped in here about 3 years ago on the road to my brother’s house and it was good enough that we made a mental note to stop in again on another trip.
Well, that trip was today.
Once again we were very impressed with the taste of the food and the down home service we received.
If you’re a lover of good pecan and apple pie, you are committing a crime if you don’t stop in. The pecan pie rivals the best anywhere and the apple pie is not far behind.
We had the catfish dinner and the pieces were plentiful and outstanding!

Diner type restaurant. Service was good. Order up at the counter. Surprised and amazed with the delicious catfish! Visited Texas for 5 days and are a variety of Tex-Mex and barbecue. This was a last day decision and we were wonderfully pleased. Would definitely go back. Worth checking out.

I give this restaurant 4.5 stars. The food is spectacular and the service is great. Traveling through we stopped to eat. Get the mushrooms! The only issue I had was that the business hours on google do not match their actual business hours.
