I have now experienced Texas, Kansas City and now Memphis BBQ in their respective areas and I might not be a fan of Memphis style. Brads is a sit down style restaurant where there is one server who does pretty much everything. It feels like a classic BBQ joint but when it comes to the food I found it a bit lacking. The sandwich was good but I want to be blitzed with flavor and I just didn’t get that from the pork shoulder. The Cole slaw that was added I could barely taste too. I had to add a generous amount of BBQ sauce to really maximize the flavor. However the smoked turkey was very good, I just wish it was served hot. The standouts were the onion rings and potato salad. The potato salad was a lot sweeter than I was expecting but it was really tasty and had no celery in it.

I travel a lot for work and ended up in Bartlett. So, gotta get some bbq! Brad’s is a really, really good bbq joint. I ordered a jumbo sandwich with potato salad and beans. The pulled pork was juicy with a nice bark. The sauce complemented the meat very well. Be sure to have extra napkins handy! The potato salad had a nice zip to it. Maybe a dash or horseradish in it??? The only slight disappointment was the beans. They tasted good but weren’t hot. Just room temperature. But again, good beans otherwise. The service was excellent. Quick and attentive. Great spot for traditional, Memphis style bbq pork.

Son had a track meet and while we were waiting for his time we decided to get lunch here since it was close. The place had just opened so it wasn’t packed. Our waitress was nice and pleasant. The food wasn’t terrible but it wasn’t seasoned too well for my liking. The sauces they provided helped out overall give this place a try and see for yourself.

Cute place in Bartlett. Waitress was nice. Food was not impressive. I had BBQ pork plate, beans, and slaw. The BBQ was dry and chewy. The slaw bland. The beans tasted like a cheap canned beans.

Ordered a large coke and banana pudding at drive up window. Paid with credit card and added 20% tip. Server comes back after about 10 minutes and says “I’m out of large. You’ll have to take a regular coke with your banana pudding.” Hands me to food and closes the window. I’ve been going here for 29 years but I don’t know if I will ever go back or recommend them to anyone again.

Amazing local bbq joint. Food, timeliness, and service have always been great in my experience. Have brought friends from out of town and gown for my birthday. The drive up window for to-go orders is always fulfilled promptly and accurately if we’re in a rush.

The plantation salad is loaded with turkey, ham and chopped pork. It’s outstanding!

Went there for my lunch break today. I was told by the cashier if eating in just sit anywhere. The problem with that was most of the empty tables were cluttered with dirty dishes. There were several tables occupied but no one had any food (not even a glass of water). It appeared there were only two employees in the building, the cashier and a guy in the kitchen. I asked the cashier how long it would take and she replied ” I don’t know”. I only have 30 mins for lunch and didn’t have time to wait behind 20 people to get a sandwich so i left.

I ordered a jumbo plate on 8/27/25. I ordered a jumbo plate I specifically ask for hot sauce on the side. Got all the way to work no hot sauce!!!! Foods always good!!!! I love this place !!!!
