I had a great experience ordering from Bradford Bakery in McKinney. The whole process was super easy, and communication was always fast and clear. I sent over my inspiration photos and she created a similar design beautifully, and at a really fair price too. Even though it’s a home-based business, I never once felt unsure or worried. Everything felt professional and dependable from start to finish.
The cake itself was gorgeous and my son absolutely loved it. However, because I personally prefer a slightly denser, more flavorful cake. The texture was more light and airy, almost sponge-like, and I found myself wishing for a little more flavor in the actual cake, especially the vanilla. However, the chocolate ganache was delicious and paired really well with each bite.
Overall, I’d definitely consider ordering again. Beautiful work, great communication, and a smooth process from beginning to end.
P.S the party place smudge the front of the cake when taking it out. I did not pick it up like that.

I have worked with Bradford Bakery on a few events, and I knew early on that this would be my stop for my wedding. I did not shop any other vendors, and when I asked for specific flavors or ideas Amanda said ABSOLUTELY. We had a true OLD FASHION flavored grooms cake with everything right down to the cherry fruit inside. The wedding cake had three tiers meaning we had to have three flavors for our guests to try. Espresso cake with coffee creme, Lemon with berry compote, and chocolate with peanut butter creme. The design was better than I imagined, and I will forever refer her for any event. We had a venue change and she still took the extra time to deliver and decorate the cakes. I hope everyone planning their big day knows that Bradford Bakery will make the wedding cake process seamless!

I ordered a cake for my moms 60th birthday. It was easy to order, everything was done over email, she was very responsive and payment was smooth. I asked for complicated flavors and she said yes without hesitation! I also asked for topper and she provided that without any additional cost which I really appreciated. And the topper was beautiful.
She gave me some design options and I selected one and that was very well done as well. Beautiful design with dried flowers.
Okay and now for the cake itself… yummy! The cake was moist and flavorful but not too sweet. It was perfect. I didn’t even get to try one of the flavors because it was all gone within minutes. Me and my fam were fighting over the left overs many people asked where the cake was from.

I had my first experience with Bradford Bakery this past week and I was very impressed! We made a 3 course meal and it was a blast. Everything tasted delicious and at the end we were given all the recipes. Definitely recommend for a girls night, birthday party etc.!!

I had contacted multiple bakeries for a specific tie dye design for my daughters bday (see pic). I asked McKinney groups on FB who would be able to accomplish it. I was given multiple options and put in several inquiries to different shops. They all said they couldn’t do the tie dye design, but could do a swirl or something similar. This was the only shop that said they could do it. I asked for a flat sheet, marble filling, same colors (blue, pink, purple, and yellow), and some confetti sprinkles. She said she could do it. I was so excited that I finally found someone. My daughter was excited, too. This was the most I’d ever spent on a cake, so I was hesitant, but I thought it would be worth it for my daughter. So, the day comes. I pick it up a couple hours before the party. I look at this cake and I am floored. No blue. No tie dye. No dollops. It was orange, green, mauve, white, and colors I certainly didn’t ask for. When I told her it wasn’t what I asked for after staring at it for a long time, she said if I gave her an hour she could fix it. I told her no. I was too upset and I had a lot to do before the party. It was also out of my way. She emailed me apologizing for how it turned out. I pretty much said that if she was unable to accomplish the tie dye effect, she should have told me so I could have make other arrangements. The colors don’t match my daughters theme and the design was a swirl of random colors. It wasn’t what I asked for or paid for.
She gave me a full refund, but my daughter was very unhappy with the cake. She said it looked okay. I ended up scraping a lot of the icing off the top (after I took the inital pic) and found more vibrant colors underneath. As for the flavor and consistency of the cake. It was really bad. First, I asked for marble and as you can see in the picture, it was not. Second, there was so much icing… more icing than actual cake. Lastly, the cake itself was dense, had a wet texture, and the flavor was just bad. My daughter didn’t like it, I didn’t like it, and none of the kids finished a single slice. One kid even told their parent she didn’t like the cake. Kids will eat anything with sugar.

WOW! Just WOW. My fiancé bought me this cake for my 25th birthday. He ordered the cake on Monday and picked it up on Thursday from the baker’s home, where they operate.
I told him that I liked sage green, gold, and other neutrals. He provided inspiration pictures to the bakery and the end product was a near perfect match. The flavor options I provided were toffee, coffee, and vanilla.
Bradford Bakery delivered the perfect birthday cake. The cake itself was a moist toffee milk cake with coffee cream cheese filling on the inside and vanilla buttercream on the outside. It was SO tasty. It was everything I loved about tiramisu but in a birthday cake.
I will most definitely return, fantastic cake and service. Thank you for helping make my day so special!!! ❤️

I emailed over a few pictures of my vision and the cake we received completely exceeded my expectations. As a previous bakery owner, I am super picky about cakes and this was superbly executed – the design was flawless, the crumb was tender and moist, perfect ratio of cake:filling:frosting. Everyone enjoyed the cake, the cake looked stunning and excellent in taste. We got the chocolate cake with two different fillings- chocolate ganache and orange curd. It was party of flavors when we all tasted the cake. Placing order was seamless and guidance to choose the correct flavor combos matching with theme. Bradford bakery was kind enough to deliver the cake at the venue as we all were traveling from different cities for the party.
