Finally caught them open and was able to give them a try. The woman who waited on me was top notch customer service. Ordered a Chicago dog and chili cheese fry. The dog was not a typical Chicago dog…plain bun no poppy seeds, plain relish not electric green, and cucumber instead of pickle….however, it tasted good. The fries were hot and what you’d expect from a fast food gyro type of restaurant. Paid around $10 so not too bad. Will definitely be back to try other menu items.

Since 1976 my family and friends have been attending this restaurant for an all American meal. It is very simple but highly effevenues venue. The hotdogs are very tasty with many options of trimmings. Chicago Style is the best, however the Chil dog is prepared fresh and not too spicy and the ground beef with the chili sauce is very satisfying. The BOZ tamales have not changed in fifty years. If you need a heartier meal the Chicago Italian Beef sandwich is made with a perfect blend of lean beef and traditional seasoned gravy. The hotdog buns are very warm and mouth watering. BOZ has Hostess desert cakes. Plenty of variety in the soft drink department. They have healthy pastrami and turkey submarine sandwiches . In the warm weather you can dine outside and enjoy a magnificent small town atmosphere. BOZ PLEASE REMEMBER THE FINEST BOZO PERFORMER EVER BOB BELL!!! AND ROY BROWN AS COOKIE AND MARSHALL BRODIN AS WIZO. GOD BLESS FRAZIER THOMAS AND RING MASTER NED!!!! ATTEND

The daughter of the original Bozos Hotdogs was the owner of this establishment but sold a while back. I said Bozos because that was the original name, but a lawsuit by Bozo the clown made them change the name to Boz Hotdogs. While working in construction I went to the original Boz near the river. The wife’s Mercedes was always parked out front with her license plate saying Mrs. Boz. Great hotdogs the Chicago way.

I love the bbq beef, pub burgers and pizza puffs. This place is fantastic for a quick cheap bite with superior quality. The owner makes the food and pays attention to every detail.

I was extremely disappointed with their prices. Because money is extremely tight, I checked the prices online first. I was shocked to see prices more than double what shows online. Online shows a hot dog at 1.89 while they actually charge 3.85. A beef sandwich shows 4.55 while it’s actually 9.00. When I mentioned the price difference, all I got was an excuse, something about previous owners not releasing the rights., but that doesn’t concern me as a customer. I’m sure I speak for many people, that in 2025, when everyone goes online, they need to get their pricing correct.

I absolutely love this place. Not only is the food AMAZING so is the staff. I’m not sure of the lady’s name that’s always working but she is AWESOME. My kids love her and she makes us feel like family everytime we go there. I can’t say enough good things about this place.

Beef chili dog with fries, beef dog was so big it was more like a dinner frank. The chili consistency, perfect and not runny. Topped with chopped raw onions, made my day!

I traveled from my home in Savannah to work briefly in Chicago, and Boz was recommended as a good hotdog joint for lunch. I had been to a couple of other places earlier in the week and was very disappointed that I couldn’t get a chili slaw dog like I do back home . I found it here, at Boz, under the name “The Carolina.” It was PERFECT !! Except for the name … should be “The Savannah” .
