Since 1921, Boyette’s has been one of West Tennessee’s top restaurants. People from all over a four state area make the drive every week to experience the true flavor of the south. Just make sure you’re hungry, because their specialty is serving up generous portions of Catfish, Country Ham, Fried Chicken and more. Put it together with some homemade hushpuppies, onion rings and country vegetables and it’s not just a meal — it’s an experience.

While visiting friends on New Years Day we took a ride up here for lunch. It came highly recommended and did not disappoint. The place was not too busy and we were seated and our drink order taken quickly. Not long after the waitress returned with our drinks and took our meal order.
More people arrived, it was early afternoon, but our dinner was ready in no time. The order was cleanly split between fish plates and cheeseburgers with onion rings.
The fish was cooked nicely, it was moist with a crunchy exterior. The onion rings were great as was the coleslaw. The green beans, well, they were green beans.
Everyone enjoyed their meal and some take home boxes were needed. No one wanted to order a dessert: just no room.
A nice dining experience.

We have traveled to Tiptonville on two occasions to visit the Reelfoot State Park. Both times we have enjoyed a meal from this wonderful restaurant. Any restaurant which has been in business since 1921 has to be something special! The best in comfort food!

We visited the Reelfoot Lake State Park hiking trails and noticed this restaurant across the street from the visitor’s center. We arrived at about noon on Saturday and it was packed. We checked in and were told that it would be a 20 minute wait. They sat us in about 20 minutes and our server took our drink order immediately.
When she brought back the drinks we ordered the grilled chicken and fried chicken plates. The fried chicken tasted good, but was REALLY greasy. The grilled chicken had no flavor and was as tough as leather. I was able to gnaw two pieces and asked for a to go box to give it to our dogs. The green beans and white beans were really good. The fries were phenomenal! The sweet tea was good.
It was on the inexpensive side (just under $40 for the two of us) so not a huge loss.

So good! Catfish was fresh and crips and yummy. All the sides were great, my favorite was the white beans and hushpuppies. Service was quick and the prices were pretty decent.

Boyette’s is the epitome of tradition, thankfully it never changes! I have some of my most precious memories here dining with family of over 40-50 years now and to me is hallowed grounds. My wife and I went Sunday Feb 15th, 26 to sorta celebrate Valentines Day and we had the best time. The catfish was spot on. The beans, slaw, hush puppies, onion rings and fries did not disappoint. The service was top notch and the atmosphere was incredible. They were very busy as it should be at such a sacred place. Boyette’s isn’t just another restaurant, it’s a destination that is entrenched is family tradition!

Good Down Jome Cooking. Too many great things to eat. Historical area. Two Motorcycle clubs drove the 1.5 hrs from Memphis. Worth it.

Update: my partner and I came back to celebrate my birthday. We arrived about 2-3 hours before closing. They had a few patrons inside (some looking at menus) but looked like a slow night. About 3 seconds after entering, a woman (we had never seen before) VERY aggressively let us know they were closed (even though they clearly weren’t) and we weren’t welcome there. I personally felt a bit blinded and shocked by the interaction. Never been treated that way from any other establishment in town or even during prior visits here. Idk what to make of it honestly but it was evident we were not welcome there so it’s highly unlikely we’ll be back.

This place is AMAZING!! I can’t wait to come back, the food and atmosphere were awesome and the wait staff really aimed to please. I had never had frog legs before but I tried there’s and it was delightful. Great place and family friendly. Prices were really reasonable too!!

Great food, excellent service and reasonable prices: all the hallmarks of an outstanding eatery. I had the fried green tomato and bacon poorboy, a delicious creation I’ve never seen served elsewhere. Highly recommend!
