Overall good experience. They have a good variety of sausage, but I personally only try sausage at restaurants that make it in house, so I got Brisket, Ribs, and Turkey.
Ribs were cooked PERFECTLY, you won’t find a better bite on a rib around here, and very good flavor.
Brisket was decent. Most will enjoy it.
Turkey was a big hell nah for me. Tasted little to no smoke and it was almost soggy, had absolutely no bark or seasoning at all.
Mac & cheese was decent.
Baked potato salad was very good.
Pinto beans could use some more flavor but still good.
Overall this a good straight forward traditional BBQ place. I’d personally put it top 3 in the Longview area.

I’ve been going to Box Car for years, but finally was able to try their new store front in White Oak. It did not disappoint! They bring classic flavors to your every day favorites. I love how they stick true to traditional bbq. It reminds me of the kind of bbq that you’d find in someone’s backyard….but it’s done perfectly everytime! Well done Box Car!

Small time restaurant, good tunes and amazing food. Cook and front counter lady were friendly and took no time at all to get paid and eating. I strongly recommend, especially after a workout next door!
