Welcome to Box of Cubans Valrico! We’re a family-owned Cuban café and eatery born from humble beginnings and built with heart. What started in 2017 inside a BP gas station in Brandon soon became one of Tampa Bay’s most beloved spots for authentic Cuban flavors, thanks to the passion of founders Marcos and Onelia Silverio and the support of the community. At Box of Cubans, we pride ourselves on serving up fresh, handcrafted Cuban classics with a modern twist from award-winning Cuban sandwiches and house-marinated lechón, to flavorful rice bowls, handcrafted empanadas, Cuban-style breakfast all day, and rich Café con Leche. Great customer service. The owner brought us a samples of the lechón with black beans and rice. It was delicious!! The best lechón I ever had. The owner and staff were very attentive. The place was spotless. I ordered a cafe con leche and an empanada stuffed with beef and sweet plantains…everything delicious. I highly recommend this gem;)

Simply, and honestly, some of the best Cuban food I have ever had! I have been to two locations one in Tampa and now, today, one in Brandon.
The steak and egg sandwich is delicious and filling and the beef and cheese empanada is crispy and flavorful.
The owner and staff are very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend trying out any of the Box of Cuban locations!

I recently visited this Cuban restaurant on my lunch break and I was truly impressed from start to finish. The food was absolutely amazing — full of authentic flavor, perfectly seasoned, and clearly made with care. Every bite tasted fresh and homemade, and you can tell they take pride in their recipes.
The service was just as wonderful as the food. Marcos, ( I think I’m spelling that right )was friendly, attentive, and welcoming, making sure I had everything I needed without feeling rushed. It was my first time at this restaurant, and he explained everything to me and even gave me a free sample of some rice and beans which were absolutely amazing!!
The atmosphere was vibrant yet comfortable — the perfect balance of lively Cuban culture and relaxed dining. From the music to the décor, everything added to the overall experience.
