Been to Bowstring twice this year for a concert (Bumpin Uglies both times) and unfortunately my complaints are the same for both shows… the wait time for the pizza was over an hour (understanding) but when I got my pizza it was cold already so not sure why I waited so long. The first time I never got my food and was told they canceled it and just forgot to tell me. My other complaint is the volume is entirely to low. Not saying blow our ears out but least let the folks in the back hear it good.

Atmosphere is a vibe for an after work beer or to hang with friends. $8 house tequila is diabolical though…I recommend the spot offer more drink specials during the week to keep customers coming back. Ordered a slice of pepperoni pizza, first slice was burned but they kindly made me another. Bartender was sweet, not her fault but I was highly surprised at my bill when I left. Still a nice spot but not wallet friendly if you’re looking to buy a lot of drinks

What a fun place to gather and hang out with friends!
The pepperoni pizza was delish! It had the perfect amount of sauce, cheese and pepperoni.
The service was great.

Bowstring is the place for live music in Raleigh! They book wonderful bands, have wonderful service and even offer yummy pizza and wings if you come straight from work! I have seen very notable musicians and local acts and kegends. It’s also an incredible place to have an event! They take wonderful care of you and it’s always nice to be comfortable outside with lovely music!! It’s a must visit if you like awesome music!

Stopped by for some food and drinks. Great atmosphere and there was live music! Food review: Ordered a slice of pizza which actually was quite good, mozzarella sticks and garlic knots. I enjoyed the mozzarella sticks but the garlic knots were just ok. Maybe it was the garlic that was a little off? Anyway I still enjoyed it. My friend got the gluten free pizza and he also liked it.

Loved the touch with the fire pits on the outside patio. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was great. The weather was a little chilly, so I enjoyed having that fire pit. This is an excellent chill spot. Parking is a bit challenging when it starts getting busy which is pretty early in the evening.

A cool open venue with live music. We went on a Friday night to see a small show and eat some pizza.
The beer selection for a brew yard is not great, they need to step that up. The pizza is very good but takes very long to get to you, we waited 90 minutes.
Overall a decent place, but a lot of college bar vibes.

Bowstring is a classic. Cool spot with lots of events, great outdoor space, walking distance to other small bars/breweries. Great place for your new partner to meet your friends in a group setting over a couple drinks.

Loved the vibe of this place. Pizza was excellent, the atmosphere was laid back and the draft beer was cold and very fresh! I can’t think of many pizzas where the crust is just as good as the rest of the pizza, but this was one such pizza. In fact I was looking forward to the crust from one slice to the next!
All together a great experience – I would recommend going simple with the pizza and go pepperoni, it was excellent. Go ahead and get the knots too, you won’t regret it.

We stopped in for after-work drinks on a rainy Wednesday and practically had the place to ourselves although I can see it being popular on a pretty day. We only enjoyed cocktails so I’ll be back to update after a future visit that includes the $10 pizzas. There’s a decent wine menu selection, good cocktail lineup (although our Bulleit Old Fashioneds were a little too heavy on the Ango and Luxardo), and a nice variety of local taps. Lots of good social distancing practices in play, too! The old garage vibe is super cool and I loved the blues music selection.
