For years, I have looked for a cheesesteak with the cheddar cheese sauce, the chewy gooey kind of cheesesteak and I finally found it; it was worth the wait!
This little roadside gem has all the charm and delicious eats! We had the Fried Pickles, Fried Mushrooms, and Jalapeño Poppers all yummy and crunchy!
Autumn, our waitress, was full-on personality, and attentive!

Okay today was the first day visiting Bowles BBQ in Sissonsville….A+++++….Off The Hook The Number 1 in my book now. Words can not describe this place except for OUTSTANDING!!!!
the brisket sandwich with onion rings was my choice and so so tender, taste is great, husband got Philly cheese steak and fries…if you want a true Philly cheese then this is where you wanna be at and experience theirs…my sister got hotdogs and fries, she said they was great and fries was perfect…my niece got phillycheese steak and fries, she said I have been searching for years for a great Philly cheese steak and I have found it—she even told our awesome great waitress Autumn she had been searching and today she found it. My sister and niece are from South Carolina so they made sure they bought 2 bottles of their favorite sauce today. The bread pudding was great and on point to old fashion grandmas bread pudding.
So I highly recommend anyone and every to go check this place out. Very clean, pretty decorations, very awesome,sweet, nice, on point waitress, the owner was a nice guy and I asked him please think about coming to Poca and my sister suggested Florence,SC so they could patronize his business. Highly recommend.. oh the appetizers was deep fried mushrooms, deep fried pickles and jalapeño poppers…all was great tasting and perfect prepared.

The employees are great. The ribs have a great flavor but not much rib meat. More than half is what you spit out not including the 2 bones in my 6 bone rib dinner. I’ve ordered the ribs multiple times, same result. My prior 2 dinners I ordered a Ribeye to go for each visit. Both times I received prime rib which I don’t like. Shame on me for not checking and for not letting them know of their mistakes.
My only complaint about the employees is PLEASE STOP ASKING FOR TIPS, FOR PICKUPS!!! I understand the system, however, its not the responsibility of customer to pay a employees salary. TIPS ARE EARNED BY SERVER FOR EXCELLENT SERVICE. Being that the customer is the judge, it renders the service provided to be subjective.

This homey stop is a hidden gem! The portions and prices were perfect. If you’re looking for good home cooking, you’ve got to try their pulled pork sandwich, mac and cheeese, and bread pudding.

I have been coming here since they opened but this is my first time since they opened up the other dining area. Such a huge upgrade. The sauces on each table to eat at your leisure is one of my favorite touches of any bbq place. There is too much to decide on just one. So I had the chicken and dumpling soup and 3 meats with all of the sauces and Mac and cheese. I couldn’t come here without eating the pickles as well! I will have to come back quite a few times to get all of it sampled. I enjoy the TVs in here also. Just in case a game is on I would like to watch while I eat. No bad experiences here and I am a customer for life. Keep this place going everyone!

Very good, St Louis ribs. The house BBQ is wonderfully rich, sweet, and tangy
The loaded tots were great as well.
I would have posted picks of the food, but it looked and smelled so good I forgot.

I ordered Brisket, Pulled pork, bread pudding and potato salad for my son’s wedding rehearsal dinner. Bowles Boys had it all hot and ready to be picked up on time and the food is very reasonably priced! All of the food was delicious and the bread pudding was amazing!! I will definitely be ordering again from them in the very near future! Thanks guys!

Can’t say enough about the staff at this restaurant!! Neala jones, the catering manager went above and beyond to help me throw my daughter’s reception.. We had a few hiccups at the last minute and they were able to pivot quickly and fill in for us averting a disaster on the day … They are knowledgeable, friendly, and I highly recommend them.. Not to mention, the food is excellent! If I could give 10 stars, I would!!
