While in El Paso, check out this bakery! People are friendly and this place is very nostalgic to the old type of bakeries. Everything was fresh and tasty. We were passing through but next time we come we’ll be back to Bowie’s.

Well… can’t say enough about this bakery!
Today we went to grab a dozen tamales as we had heard they were some of the best in town.
Unfortunately we had to wait as they were having issues with their oven.
Let’s just say they made it worth our wait!
They gave us a some baked goods during the wait with an apology for the wait. These were all beyond good.
When we received the tamales it was just WOW.. worth the wait!! The masa is fantastic and filling flavor was the simply the best!!
Customer service AND a great product!
May be a little off the beaten path but WELL worth the trip!

It’s our family’s old time favorite bakery. Nostalgic for my mother in law to visit her old neighborhood bakery with fresh baked goods: piña empanadas & macaroons.

I ordered online for pickup and it was super easy. When I arrived, they had my order and I added some additional items. We have visited many times over the years when visiting El Paso and it never disappoints. Everything was fresh, same great flavors and selection. The staff was friendly and helpful. We will be back next time we visit El Paso.

Used to be nostalgic going into the neighborhood bakery after over 30 years of it being our go to for cookies, donuts, esponjas and empanadas. Their cookies keep changing flavor and texture…. No longer soft and flavorful but hard almost inedible and lacking flavor. They’re empanadas, you’re lucky to walk in and find your favorite filling because now you have to special order 2 dozen to have a certain type… esponjas are just plain dry now. It’s a shame because I grew up going to Bowie bakery especially after school and it became a tradition now with my children… but I can’t bring myself to buy product that doesn’t live up to the price anymore.

This is where the locals go for their sweet tooth fix. But not only! I asked a local which place has the best tamales… He didn’t think twice and recommended Bowie bakery! Now this is my first time eating tamales, so I can’t compare, but the place had quite a few people! Their tres leches cake is one of the best I have had! The rice pudding is quite good as well! It is an El Paso staple, so definitely worth a visit! Great people, friendly, helpful and patient! Recommend!

They don’t sell menudo anymore. It’s still advertised on their website. I drove all the way over there for nothing.

Excellent bakery. Definitely a trademark of El Paso. It’s small and tucked away in an residential area that most people don’t venture into. They have a large selection of delicious baked goods; sweet breads, donuts, muffins, cakes and more. If you like tres Leches cakes, I highly recommend theirs.
It’s a good place to get baked goods for adults and kids. They usually have attentive, polite staff working there. And the bakery is kept clean. They accept cash, cards and EBT(food stamps). Note; parking space is very limited. But if you’re looking for something sweet in El Paso, Texas. Then this is a great place go to.
