Excellent bar/restaurant right near Doak. The food was great. Everything was fresh. I got the Bobby Burger and Bowden’s Brew. The Bowden’s Brew was a beer they selected for that time. I can’t recall what the beer was, but it was light with a good flavor. The Bobby Burger was well cooked, and the fries were fresh. The atmosphere is just what you’d want in a sports bar type restaurant. Staff was friendly and attentive, and even though they were slightly busy, the food came pretty quickly.

Saturday lunch March 7. None of our burgers had any flavor. Even the bacon. Fries were undercooked and weren’t salted. Again no flavor. Wings were overcooked, hard and dry. Fried pickles were over salted and over seasoned. They really need to work on the food quality. Unfortunately it’s just a bar that serves food, not a restaurant that serves alcohol.

Visited Bowden’s for the first time a few weeks ago and enjoyed our experience. Service was friendly and helpful. We tried the pretzels and they were delicious. We also tried the burgers (I’m sorry can’t remember which ones we ordered) but they were flavorful. The restaurant was clean and I’m sure during football season this place stays packed.

Not enough seating. Very confusing on game day with a cover and they ask you to give up bar seat even while sitting and drinkng. Waited 46 yrs. To get my first home game. Asked to move away from a seat that had just ordered from with no offer of there seating. Great place Bad System. A lot like today’s team. Don’t think Bobby would approve.

I visited Bowdens the last Friday of the summer semester. I was able to find paid street parking not far from the entrance. i was seated immediately. I love the indoor outdoor vibe of the place. I’m not sure what the crowds look like here on game days. I can see coming back and lounging with drinks. I expected typical sports bar food but the food was a little more elevated. The rice and chicken dish I ordered was actually seasoned well and the pretzel dough was such a soft delicious texture. Not dry or tough at all. It’s probably THE best pretzel I’ve tasted.

We went there and was disappointed that they only had a “limited menu”. We had looked at full menu online and was hoping to enjoy items that were listed.
We walked in and was seated quickly but the waitress and wait staff seemed preoccupied. We sat for probably 25-30 minutes before we were asked what we wanted to drink. This would have been understandable if they had been busy, but there was only 2 other tables with patrons. It was essentially empty.
We ordered 2 burgers from the limited menu. The waffle fries tasted stale. The burger was dry. I do not recommend this place and we won’t be back to eat here. We would come and listen to music but will not order food again.

I got the Mahi Fish Taco Platter, it came with 2 tacos and waffle fries for $15. My boyfriend got the Pulled Pork – he was not a fan of his, granted it came chopped, wasn’t on a bun, came with tasteless slaw and waffle fries. The pork was good though! Just tiny portions 🙁 Shrinkflation I guess.
My tacos were good, could’ve used more seasoning and I wished it came with 3 tacos instead of two and less fries for $15. It was just okay for lunch but this restaurant is better when you plan on drinking and just want a quick bite or watch a sports game.
