My husband and I are SO happy we stopped here for a bite after our swamp tour. Brett took such good care of us and whipped up some of the best food we’ve had in Louisiana! Great convo, great food, great guy! A must stop!

Authentic bayou dining experience. You’re on a boat. Service is fantastic, salt of the earth people and very tasty food. Fresh and delicious. Loved the fish tacos. Thanks for everything. We’ll be back.

Thank you Chef Bret for the impeccable hospitality during our visit to your lovely restaurant on a boat in the Bayou!

We each had a shrimp po boy of the fried and blackened varieties and the boudin rolls. The flavor of everything was incredible and definitely made with love. Excellent portions.

When we’re back in the Bayou we’ll definitely stop back in!

The food was hot and the portion sizes were great for the price. I had the shrimp nachos and my wife had the shrimp Po Boy. You must try this place if you’re in the area. We definitely will come back on our next visit.

The food truck is in the parking lot. Go past the food truck to what looks to be an old house that is on the water. After walking through a long hallway there is a handwritten sign with the menu on it. Continue further past there and you can either choose to sit inside or outside. There is a step to get outside that’s a little bit tricky. There is a helpful attendant who essentially is a food runner between the food truck and your table. When you pay, you pay at the food truck out front when you leave. They’re doing a great job of making do with what they have after hurricane Ida. We had the steak nachos which were made with fried egg roll wrappers instead of tortilla chips. The steak was the kind you would find on a cheesesteak sandwich. With fresh tomatoes and onions and a nacho cheese sauce they were delicious. It was a great place to have a afternoon snack and watch the boats. The restaurant was 1/2 to 2/3 full and it took about 10 minutes to get our food. Our server was exceptionally helpful. One star missing because they did the math wrong and tried to overcharge us.

I had a great experience here 2/4/2021

I didn’t know what to order so I had the waiter and owner pick for me. I just asked for an appetizer and an entrée.

They brought me fresh crab cakes which were delightful and for my entrée it was a red snapper with potatoes and some sort of sauce. The picture doesn’t do it justice. Great experience and great food.

I’ve been here many times over the years, they used to sell amazing hand-painted, swamp-themed birthday cards. The food is what it should be, traditional poboys made well. Seafood preparation is perfect. The po-boy bread is a little softer and sweeter than traditional, though its still nice. The restaurant has changed since Hurricane Ida to a large docked houseboat on the water, behind the ruins of the old restaurant. The boat has a screened deck over the water that I think is an upgrade from the original seating area.

The food and service were sublime. The boudin eggrolls are probably the best thing I’ve ever had, the shrimp po’ boy was light and crispy, and the soft shell crab was melt-in-your-mouth crispy and fresh. Definitely recommend it to anyone who’s down in this area visiting or taking a swamp tour.

Came down to Louisiana with my brother and father to go fishing and stopped here to have dinner before the big fishing day.

Not only was I enlightened by our amazing and funny waitress, Kaitlyn, the food was amazing and there was a lot of it too! When I come back, I won’t hesitate to stop in once more.

We were staying on Baritaria and were looking for authentic sea food. We absolutely loved everything about this place!
From the waitress and cook to the heaping portions, it was exactly what we were hoping for!
For the price, taste and serving sizes , this place should’ve been packed!!!
If you’re looking for the best fried fish, perfectly seasoned fries or an A+ staff, this is it!
What we ordered:
Fish, shrimp, oysters, gator bites, crab cake po’ boy, shrimp po’ boy, chicken strips, burger…Every single thing was delicious!
