Fantastic place for dinner! Our waitress was an absolute delight and had nothing but good suggestions.
I went with two other friends, and we all left very satisfied. We started with the muscles in white wine sauce, and it was absolutely delicious, we had to ask for more bread to get up all of the sauce, it was so tasty. The squash pasta was very hearty without being heavy, very cozy option. The salmon and forbidden rice was also super flavorful, with a nice, bright sauce that offset the salmon well.
The desserts was where the dinner really sticks in my mind, the bread pudding was apparently a twin of my friend’s childhood dessert, very lovely, not too sweet but losts of wonderful flavor in the burbon glaze especially. The chocolate dacquois was deeply rich and the mild bitter of the dark chocolate offset beautifully with the fig jam. The orange spice is where it’s at though! I feel like I could eat an entire sheet pan worth of it, just toss on the toppings and hand me a fork. Light while still being full of flavor, the cream was a light and a great way to break up the fullness of the spices in the cake, the topping was the sweetest part of the whole thing and mellowed against the spicy cake and cream. I will absolutely be ordering this again the next time I’m in town!

I stopped in to this restaurant on a whim, just trying to find a place to eat By Myself 1 day while my wife is in New York and glad that I came here. The service here is what I appreciated. The mostThe waiters were extremely friendly and the bartender had great conversation. The food was also spot on my only complaint. Where the potatoes could have been cooked a little bit more. That came with my filet, but other than that, it was exquisite and I would love to return with my wife. So she can experience the fine dining here at the bourbon’s bistro.

As soon as we walked in the door…I could feel the love. Great atmosphere. Great staff. Great food. Kim was perfect with great knowledge of the menus as well as great suggestions throughout the evening. Brandon is a master behind the bar. The drinks were amazing. This was definitely a 10/10 experience. Can’t wait to visit again. See you guys soon.

We found this place through Google after going to another restaurant that didn’t quite meet our expectations. This has a great atmosphere and our waitress was very helpful with all things menu. Started off with Southern Salmon Cakes and a Burrata. This was followed Scottish Salmon, this is grilled, with forbidden black rice, haricot verts, crumbled goat cheese and Romesco sauce made with a blend of tomato, fire roasted peppers, toasted almonds, smoked paprika along with garlic. This is the first time I’ve ever been questioned as to an allergy to paprika, which I understood once I got the meal and that it definitely is noticeable, but not overwhelming. This was a good find for us and really appreciated our waitress.

Our party of 19 dined in the private room upstairs. The tastenof the food was fantastic. Not one complaint, everyone loved their dish! W had salads, entrées, and ended with the bourbon bread pudding. THE BEST bread pudding many of us have had.
IThe plates were on the smaller side, especially for salmon. It was fantastic on flavor though, highly recommend it.
Also there is only one gender nuetral shared restroom upstairs, allowingfor one occupancy at a time.. Odd that it had a shower as well, for a restaurant. That’s an issue depending on size of party, or occupancy of the floor.
The downstairs offers one restroom for each gender, max one person occupancy per restroom (female anyway, assuming same for mens room)
Also, the access to the upstairs private dining staircase is outside, on the left side of the restaurant.
I reccomend trying out Bourbons Bistro, the taste is everything.

Delicious food and dessert cocktails! The service was friendly and fast. Our family ate at Bourbons Bistro last weekend and had an amazing experience and meal. We ordered the bone marrow, the charcuterie, and the mussels for appetizers. For dinner I had the steak frites, my fiance had the salmon. We enjoyed our food, the steak was delicious however the fries underneath were soggy and not much to compliment. For dessert we tried each of the options, the fall crunch was the best in my opinion. I had a key lime martini it tastes incredible!!!

Excellent from start to finish. Their Bourbon selection is off the chain. Basically, it’s a library of Bourbon. The food… EXCELLENT!! The deserts…. EXCELLENT!! Our favorites were the bread pudding and butter pecan cheesecake.

Great food – one of the best options in Louisville. The shrimp and grits is one of my favorite I’ve ever had. Their happy hour is a little funky though. It seems like you only get happy hour pricing if you sit at the bar.
