The Vagabond Gourmand
I go to bourbon west when everywhere else has failed me recently. It’s nobody’s favorite bar or first pick. There isn’t much in the way of food. Which is often what I’m seeking. But It isn’t a resteraunt, going in there with the expectation of it being so will only lead to disappointment. There are some fun events here, and the cocktails are worth trying. The lights are kept low, it isn’t too loud or crowded. Thank goodness for that.

Seems like more of a “local bar” than a destination for out of towners. The food was great. The bartender made me a fun (sweet) bourbon drink so that I could try bourbon for the first time – since it’s called Bourbon West! They have a pool table.

Finally, a place i can go to with working class people hang, great bartenders, and Steve, the things he does to food! Amazing! Food and beers plus taking left overs home, I got away with a $29 dollar bill! Because I thought i would be spending way more, I tipped Steve and Ashley generously because everything was so awesome!

What a great local bar located in the Port Angeles area. Free pool and a good crowd goes into this place. Lots of fun for unwinding after work or taking your Besty to on the weekend. If you’re in Port Angeles definitely go check them out.

My dad and I were traveling from out of town and went to this bar, hopeful for a nice drink and some friendly convos. Upon arrival, we asked the bartender what she had on tap, and what she would recommend based on our preferences. We were met with nothing but incredibly rude and short answers, as if our presence and questions were bothering her. We understand that service folks can have it rough, but the bar was completely empty for 8pm, and our questions weren’t out of place or rude. We felt so slighted that we grabbed our stuff and left without ordering. Instead we headed down to Getaway Tavern. Ended the night with great company and drinks. Head there instead for a friendly, and local vibe.

This is a good place for a drink and some snacks. I had their bloody mary and some elk chili. They were both really good, except the chili came out a bit about luke warm. Also it came out about 10 mins before anyone else’s food arrived, kind of odd. They have a nice, big patio out back.

Wanted to support a local business because it’s a small town and that’s what you should do but when you’re greeted with rudeness twice before you can order then you should do what we did and just leave. Short, brunette bartender literally drove us out of there when there were only two other patrons in the place and we told her that we were new in there and had been meaning to come in for quite some time. Happy ending to this story is that we found a friendly bartender, Tonya, and great drinks and a truly Happy Hour over at the Rail.

The Bar Tender, Tyler I believe, makes one mean N/A cocktail. Really, really good. Nice fellow too. Nice place. My only complaint is the choice of music, but that’s a matter of personal taste.

Went there on a Wednesday night with some friends. We had some beers and threw darts, shot some pool. A nice place to relax with friends and have some drinks.

Great happy hour price for pretzels. However, their happy hour prices for drinks are what regular drink prices should be.
Dog friendly, one pool table, bartender was friendly and helpful.
You do need to go up to the bar to order, even when you sit at the tables. there’s usually only one bartender covering the entire place. Don’t be that person and complain when they don’t leave their station for you.
