The guys were very friendly and helpful!

The food was delicious! We drove about an hour to get here.

Everything was absolutely delicious! The flavors were on point! It reminded me of being in New Orleans. Portions for the sides were pretty decent. We were able to split everything between 3 people.

Everything is made to order. 10/10

I will have to try the Burbon pecan pie next time!

We tried a bunch of things:
Red Beans and Rice 5/5
Gumbo 5/5
Jambalaya 5/5
Etoufee 5/5

I am a hard sell as my husband would say if I say its better than okay it must be good. The chicken is SO freakin moist and flavorful im not to big on chicken, to me its always dry and bland so amazing job there! Red beans and rice are very similar to places in New Orleans! Catfish is awesome. Husband picked it up they made it all fresh in front of him. With fried items they have a cool trick to place it on a piece of bread so it doesnt get soggy in the box works great everything was super crispy. Pics are chicken & Red Beans & Rice. First time trying today we will be back for sure!

This place is THE SPOT. Writing this review as a cajun/creole food lover, and someone who has been regularly dissapointed by some of the “genuine” places in NOLA, this is a place that gets it right.

The shrimp po’boy was stuffed, and I mean STUFFED with shrimp, with plenty of fixins, on great bread. These shrimp are big, juicy, perfectly tender, and most important of all SEASONED.

The gumbo mixes it up, in the best way. You’ve got pretty traditional creole gumbo ingredients, but THE ROUX. This is a dark, cajun roux like only the real ones know. Earthy, herbal, and kicking you in the teeth. And like the po’boy they don’t skimp on you. Absolutely filled up with delicious sausage and seafood.

But let me tell you what you’re really here for, and that’s this etoufee. Listen…I’m sorry I thought I’d only want the side order. It’ll never happen again. But this etoufee may have just replaced slows mac n cheese as my go-to comfort food. It hits every note. And it hits you different ways. On approach it’s got this warm, earthy vibe, almost like a really good mushroom risotto. But then you go in and BAM you get the sweet from the seafood and the trinity.

Other quick notes. Nothing was greasy; there’s no film of seperated fat running everywhere (see pics!). And the ratio of rice to topping was perfect. All in all it’s fantastic food at great value. Easily enough food for two grown adults for right around $50. Will 100% be back and be telling others.

First time here. Let’s start with the bad. The bad is this is my first time and they have been here almost 2 years. Today we tried the red beans and rice. Fire. Also tried the chicken jambalaya. Fire. The catfish. Fire. The fried chicken. Fire. But i have to stay honest. I do not like there hot sauce packets. But hay. They dont make those. But if they did. Fire. I will be back to try more items and will update. The owners were there and are some super cool people. 10 out of 10. Highly recommend.

Ever since I visited Nawlins (pre-Katrina), I’ve absolutely loved Creole & Cajun food. Not nearly enough places to find it in the area, in my not very humble opinion.
So when this popped up on my map, I beelined to it. Such a good idea!
The digs are rather spartan, only a few tables. The mural on the wall is extremely well-done.
Everything on the menu (except the sweet potato pie ) is screaming “Order me!”
I finally decided on a 12 ounce order of Chicken & Andoullie Sausage Gumbo & a side of Red Beans & Rice. C’est magnifique!
Their business is predominantly take-out so everything is served in styrofoam. Environmentally horrid but great to keep take-out warm.
The food is phenomenal. Perfectly seasoned, hot throughout my meal, I would have gladly eaten myself into a food coma with either of these.
With a pop/soda my bill was about $15.
I can’t wait to go back for a Po’Boy. I’m salivating at the thought already.

My dad and I stopped in for the first time to try this place today. We had been meaning to go sooner! This is a family owned business and they were so friendly and nice to talk to. I ordered the red beans and rice and my dad ordered the crab & crawfish etoufee. The food came out nice and hot! My dish came with a chicken tender and it was nice and crispy on the outside, but juicy on the inside. Perfect. The red beans and rice were really good. They had the perfect amount of spice, warm enough to clear out the sinuses, but not so hot that it burned my taste buds. They do not skimp on the meat, there was so much andouille sausage in it that I had some in every bite, which I love. They checked in on us a couple times to make sure we were enjoying the food, which was really nice. We enjoyed everything about our experience here today and I can’t wait to go back and try a po boy, the french fries and mac & cheese!

This an amazing spot, the shrimp po boy was truely amazing, I definitely recommend some hot sauce with it, its a more expensive sandwich but you more then get what you pay for. Ive also had the gumbo as well and it is also great!

You go here for the fantastic food, not a pretentious fancy atmosphere. Lovely authentic, friendly owners. Gumbo was chock-full of seafood, andouille sausage and chicken. Hot shrimp po boy was overflowing. I grew up in New Orleans and will absolutely come here again.

I like it. This is a local spot in my backyard. There aren’t any other places like this in the area. The portion sizes were decent but, I think the pricing is a little high for what you get, they could have included a piece of cornbread or something on the side to balance that price. The food is pretty good and well-seasoned.

It’s a takeout spot, not ideal for eating in. However, they have a few tables where you could sit if needed. At the time of going, the bathroom wasn’t available for public use and they included customers as “the public”. The staff was friendly and the service was fast.

Food is amazing, but the gumbo portions are small, and it’s $20 a sandwich. Its really good though, this is the type of place you have every so often.
