Bourbon and Branch is hands down one of my favorite spots in town. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere is always great. It’s the kind of place that works for just about anything whether you are hanging out on trivia night with friends or sitting outside with a client over a drink talking business.
The food options are solid, the drinks are well made, and the overall vibe makes you want to stay awhile. It’s versatile, comfortable, and consistently a great experience. Easily my go to place and the first spot I recommend to anyone looking for a great atmosphere in town.

Drinks were great, and they had live music, which made the atmosphere even more fun. The bar has a really cool setup, with multiple bars and cozy, private areas throughout. Perfect if you want to avoid the crowds and want to have meaningful conversations. It’s much bigger inside than it looks from the outside and gives off a true speakeasy vibe.

This place is a hidden gem. Walking in you get a modern country elegant feel. Like some of the others in the comment section said, from the outside you would not expect to see such a beautiful space! Whoever designed the bar did an amazing job. Staff is friendly, drinks were great! The only thing I would have liked is for them to have a section for a small dance-floor. Overall such a great ambiance, I’ll definitely be back again and recommend this place to all of our friends in the area.

As a first-time customer, I came in with high hopes and genuine excitement. My husband and I were looking for a new hangout spot, and the atmosphere had real potential. It was a Sunday afternoon, maybe a quarter full, so there was no excuse for lousy service.
The bartender spent the majority of our visit on a personal phone call, barely acknowledging us. We’ve both worked in the service industry and understand the demands of the job. We came in smiling, we tip well, and we were fully prepared to settle in for a few rounds. Instead, we felt completely unwelcome.
The drink wasn’t made according to the menu description. I ended up not drinking it, and when my husband brought it back to request a refund, the bartender said absolutely nothing, not an apology, not an acknowledgment, not a single word. We were in and out in about 20 minutes when we had planned on staying for at least two drinks each.
At these prices, a poor attitude and a poorly made drink are simply unacceptable. What stings most is that we walked in excited and left deflated and that’s such an unnecessary way for a first visit to end. We won’t be returning.
I saw an older negative review where the owner replied that the reviewer must have the wrong location because they’re in Bulverde, not Spring Branch. But Bulverde and Spring Branch are essentially the same immediate area. Both are along US-281 in west Comal County, and Spring Branch is just north of Bulverde. Also important to note to the owner: your address lists Spring Branch as the city, not Bulverde. The response reads less like a genuine clarification and more like a refusal to acknowledge that this location could have received a negative review, rather than addressing the customer’s experience.

Honestly expected more from this small cozy hometown feeling bar. The service was below average. We sat at the bar and had to ask to be tended to. Approached with reserve to ask if we needed anything. Felt like we were a burden to the young bartender who seemed entitled to his time at work to do as he pleases.

Was recommended this place by the owner of Chuck’s Bar and Grill (which is awesome). Let me just say – Chandler is a ROCK STAR. I’m a Tito’s/Splash Club Soda girl and he was on point with his drink skills. He was friendly, attentive, and someone I’d hire to work at my bar. Only thing I would change is maybe the sign location of where to order because I felt like Chandler was juggling it all – but still kept his cool and friendly entire time! Super cool place and I always make new friends while there. The bar back, Cody, is always a blast to chat with and jumps in to help and make sure everyone is getting great service. During the weekdays the bartender has been Tanner and he’s also a rockstar bartender and very creative with his drink making skills. I’ve become a regular and will continue to give them my business because it’s a great team and comfortable environment.

Cute little speakeasy that has a really nice pool table in the back and quite a few lounging areas for casual conversation.
The staff is always very knowledgeable and great bartenders The interior design and atmosphere are absolutely impeccable and a lot more then meets the eye from the outside.

Bar keep Pablo is creative in making wonderful weakly “from scratch” drinks & shots. Great atmosphere with live music a few nights a week. Definitely worth trying out.

Really cool spot, with beautiful, cozy decor. Only complaint is very poor service. We were the only people in there at 3:15 pm. We had to ask for service from the bartender. He was either not happy to be there or a very unsociable bartender. Sad service for such a cool spot. 11-25-25
