The bar also deserves recognition. The selection is wide and impressive, with beautifully crafted cocktails and a strong variety of bourbon, wine, and spirits to choose from.
We started with the shrimp bisque and it was rich, smooth, and perfectly balanced. The Greek salad with hummus was fresh and vibrant with bold flavors that didn’t overpower.
The short rib tagliatelle was incredible with tender, flavorful short rib over perfectly cooked pasta. The Caribbean chili shrimp brought just the right amount of heat, and that sweet cayenne pepper butter took it to another level.
And the dessert? The sticky bourbon and toffee pudding was the perfect ending, warm, decadent, and absolutely unforgettable.
Every dish was beautifully presented and you can tell real care goes into the details here. The service was attentive and welcoming without being overbearing.
If you’re in Woodbridge and want a true elevated dining experience, this is the place. We’ll definitely be back.
The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the experience even better. We had the Wagyu steak, which was outstanding and an absolute must-try. And just when we thought the night couldn’t get better, the Lemon Olive Oil Cake was a delightful surprise, do not skip it!
We also enjoyed the smoked old fashioned, which was perfectly crafted. If you’re in the area, Bourbon and Fig is a must-visit. We’ll definitely be back!
When we arrived, the host and possible manager or owner were welcoming, which set the tone right away.
Our server, Takia, was incredibly warm, welcoming, and attentive. She asked thoughtful questions, guided us through the menu, and made us feel genuinely comfortable the entire night.
The cocktails were excellent, and both the Berkshire pork chop and grilled filet mignon were flavorful and beautifully prepared.
For dessert, we ordered the chai crème brûlée it was perfectly sweet and absolutely delicious.
To top off the night, we were pleasantly surprised with a celebratory glass of champagne and dessert, which was such a thoughtful and kind touch and made our anniversary feel even more special.
The food, drinks, service, and the beautiful atmosphere all came together beautifully. We truly enjoyed our experience and our special evening. We will absolutely be back. Highly recommend.
The restaurant is ideal for family gatherings, special occasions, and date nights. Ask for Bassam and Jill and let them share the story behind opening this restaurant.
We ordered the croquettes, calamari, lamb shoulder, and lamb chauf. Everything was excellent. The fresh bread and butter, the drinks and mocktails were well crafted. The lamb chops and the corn and cheese croquettes stood out. The halibut was an unexpected highlight. Dessert was the toffee cake, which was rich and delicious.
Service was professional and attentive from start to finish. Truly an outstanding dining experience.
To finish, we had the Maple & Roasted Fig Panna Cotta, and wow everything about it was amazing. The fig flavor truly stood out and tied the dessert together beautifully. The cocktails were also expertly crafted and delicious. An all around fantastic dining experience!
Our table was next to a very large party, which made it nearly impossible to hear myself think, let alone converse with my own group. The waiter had to bend down and speak directly into our ears, which was awkward. We asked to move to a quieter room, but were told it was reserved despite later seeing no one sit there the entire evening, and it was clear they were preparing to close as we left.
As a first-time guest, I expected some sort of welcome or introduction to the restaurant, but none was offered. No recommendations, no explanation of the menu, just straight to ordering.
The mocktail presentation was disappointing. My Blood Orange Spritzer drink looked like plain juice in a wine glass with a lone mint leaf. A dried blood orange slice or serving it in a tall highball glass would have elevated the experience.
The Arugula and Pear Salad was flat and uninspired, something I could easily get fresher and tastier at Sweetgreen for the same price. The Coconut Poached Halibut was one-note and lacked seasoning. The promised soy caramel sounded exciting but fell flat, and despite lime being highlighted on the menu, there was no citrus or acidity to balance the dish as well as an overall lack of proper salting. For dessert, the Chocolate Mousse was plated beautifully and felt more in line with the restaurant’s vibe, but the Sticky Bourbon Toffee Pudding looked unappetizing with its lumpy date, orange, and walnut topping. When we asked to take the mousse to go, it was packaged carelessly and when I got home and opened the container, it looked as if it had just been flipped upside down into the box off the plate.
The décor is truly impressive, but the service, presentation, and food quality didn’t match the atmosphere. Between the noise, lack of attentiveness, and lackluster dishes, the evening felt more frustrating than enjoyable. Bourbon and Fig is a beautiful space, but the dining experience needs refinement in service, presentation, and flavor to live up to its potential.
