Well, if you like a Googie style eatery they got you covered. If you like frozen reheated food they got your standard Sysco chicken fried steak, pancake mix and ok coffee. It tastes like every other cheap diner using Sysco products. If you like a bathroom that smells like a festival portapoddy after a week in the sun, check. Very off putting! Parking lot is a disaster, food mediocre and catching a server’s eye was hard. The “Lounge” looks like a temp bar set up at a wedding. Great view from the lobby, but not enough to bring me back again. Good for a family with kids, but not a serious breakfast enthusiast.

First time here, on a Sunday, wasn’t crowded at all. Dined in the lounge area to watch the football game, space is much more quieter than the main dining area. They alsohad a bar in the lounge which was lovely. Everything that we ordered listed below was beyond exceptional. I definitely will be coming back again. And all the staff there were all very nice and friendly. They do have a small parking lot but it does fill up fast.

My wife and I were visiting family and friends on a Saturday night.

My wife had a Blue Moon and I had a Maker’s Mark with a Coke. Both drinks were delicious.

My wife had a meatball sub sandwich and I had fish and chips served with house salad. Both meals were very delicious.

For dessert my wife had a slice of cheesecake and I had apple pie a la mode. Both desserts were delicious and not too sweet.

It was busy for a Saturday night. And our party had some of the food come out before our drinks.

Nice family style atmosphere though.

The staff got our ridiculous to go order ready correctly and quickly . It’s a cute and clean place with lots of natural lighting . The parking isn’t great and I’m between some really busy streets . I feel like their menu has a lot of choices and they’re willing to accommodate any dietary restrictions . The chicken was moist and flavorful . My Sonoma salad was excellent . Great place for a second date or if u need to break up with someone in a safe well lit public venue .

My favorite go to place for special events, birthdays or holidays, any time I dare to try a new dish, it tastes so good, I keep coming back. My favorite is their virgin piña colada, a must try if you go here. The service is definitely one of my favorite parts, everyone is so nice, making the atmosphere elegant and classy.

Our first time and everything was perfect. Fast seating, courteous service, larger than expected portions and of good quality. The coffee was surprisingly good, too. A special shout out to our waitress “Ma.”

Tried for the first time and had breakfast. Parking was tight but we got lucky with an open spot. Really nice interior with surrounding window views of the west lake area. Service was great. Very attentive waitress and you can tell she really listened when we ordered. Food not so great. Presentation disappointing. Look at the photos and tell me you’d pay almost $20 for each. Chicken fried steak was tough to chew. I expect it to be crunchy and moist. Gravy was too thick not runny, lacked flavor, and not enough covering the meat. Had to request extra. Eggs were over easy – at least they didn’t screw that up. We also had the hamburger eggs. Nothing to write home about. Toast wasn’t buttered like I had requested. Was charged $6 for a ‘large’ orange juice which was in the same cup size as the water. I wonder what a ‘regular’ orange juice looks like? Smooth jazz music overhead was competing with the ambient chatting noise it didn’t feel comfortable. Maybe they need a new sound system? Overall, we may decide to try something else next time. For now there are other places that can do better than Boulevard Cafe. Bill’s Cafe and Crepevine come to mind.

Pick-up order was ready within 20 minutes, so that was nice. The place was much bigger than I had imagined, and was lively at 7:30pm on a November Saturday, and felt bright and warm, unlike the dimly lit and mildly cold exterior.

The salmon was fairly good. As were the vegetables and the rice pilaf. I think I would prefer the rice pilaf to be slightly drier though.

Anyway 4 ⭐ overall. Recommend.

Great nostalgic place with good food. I had burger and fries. So big I couldn’t finish it.

If you are in the Westlake area, try it.
