Great spot not far off I95 for a bite to eat. The food and milk shakes are great! The atmosphere has an old school diner vibe. If you like that type of dining experience you’ll like the Boulevard.

My wife and I were heading to another restaurant and caught a wiff of the burgers. We immediately changed our plans and went inside Boulevard Burgers and Brew. The restaurant has a great vibe especially late at night. Its a throwback to the diners of the 50’s and 60’s with a few modern touches. We were seated immediately and even though it was a little busy. The waitress was there soon after to get our drink order. We began to salivate over the menu because everything looked good. Looking around the restaurant, I saw what others had ordered which was very dangerous. All sorts of delicious looking and smelling food was delivered to the tables around us. I recall seeing the pure delight in a gentlemans face as he took a bite of his burger. After a brief discussion with my wife, we decided to split a Boulevard Brewhouse burger, a Philly Cheesesteak, and a small fry. The burgers are pretty good and have fresh toppings on them. Each bite was a wonderful experience. A bit more salt and pepper in the burger would have made it legendary. The cheesesteak was a gem of a find. It is not packed with a lot of meat however the flavor of the meat, peppers and cheese on that amazing bread works extremely well. One sandwich will satisfy your hunger without feeling stuffed like a pig. The only problem during the meal was that we ordered a small fry. These fries are AMAZING and we crushed the fries immediately. Don’t make the same mistake we did ordering a small fry. Do yourself a favor and order the medium or large fries. There are so many options on the menu that we can’t wait to try on future visits.

Go during happy hour 3-6 the sliders were delicious $2.60 per slider. My son had the $6 smash burger but fries are a separate side.

Great burger, single tall burger was too much for me to eat in one set.
Fries were great and they had a terrific side salad.

Great service from pur waitress on 12/13. She was quick and friendly. I had the sour dough chicken sandwich and enjoyed it. My mom and mil enjoyed their meals as well. We loved the cute little fry basket–the fries were fresh, hot, and crispy–on point!! My MIL joked her single burger was so big she could not imagine how big a double was. The atmosphere was inviting and all employees had smiles. There are three single bathrooms, which is nice for someone with a chronic stomach disorder (sorry, I tend to be overly observant of these things.). My only request is to serve bottled water. It isn’t a big deal, I just unfortunately have reactions to water from tap that I am not used to. There were other options for me to choose from that are safe for my stomach so no biggie! If I lived closer, I would come back at least a couple times a month to try more items on the menu.

This is THEE burger & shake spot!! If that’s the vibe you’re going for, look no further. It’s retro 50s diner type eating.
Great, fresh food, staff & service is great, the only thing I don’t like about the atmosphere is that it’s always packed! – Because, it’s just that good! Lol
Eat and enjoy, and thank me later!

The salad was delicious and filling. The atmosphere was warm. Rating the service a 3 stars because the server brought us other customers’ orders a couple of times.

We loved it here. This is our 5th time, and we will continue to return. Today Mom had the byo with a turkey burger patty and said it was great! BLT, tots, onion straws with ranch and boulevard BBQ Burger all excellent. There is a good selection of beers on tap.

I just moved to Richmond, and live nearby — decided to finally pop in and found the place to be a cross between a sports bar & 50’s diner… objectively “cool, local” vibe.

I wasn’t very hungry, so, I just ordered a burger: Boulevard Brew House Burger (picture). Albeit a tasty burger I have two complaints:
– the burger was so well-done the meat was grey.
– the bottom bun was clearly stale and they tried toasting it to “save” it… just crumbling after a hard bite through.

There is a solid beer selection and the food coming out looked good. I’ll be back with the hope of a better burger but I wasn’t overly impressed with the cook even if the overall taste they went for is understood.

Overall, I’d give the experience a 3.5/5.
