Side note: If you are an entrepreneur or creative looking to collaborate, be intentional about where you choose to have a meeting. This is one of those places where, even if the other person does not show up, you will still have an incredible experience on your own.
From the moment I came to the moment I left, my experience was everything I needed and more. I had already looked over the menu beforehand, so I knew exactly what I wanted which was the Tostada lunch plate and the Lady Bird salad. If I’m not mistaken, Gwyneviere was my server, and she was wonderful. She initially offered me a vegan cinnamon roll, which I declined while placing my order. I also noticed they had a mocktail list so I tried their Free N Easy IPA with ZERO alcohol, which I loved and ended up ordering two. The Tostada plate was very filling, so much that I had to box the salad to go. Before leaving, I did take Gwyneviere up on her original offer of the cinnamon roll and I am so glad I did. Everything I ordered was vegan and absolutely delicious. I ended up eating the salad the next day, and when I tell you it tasted like it came straight out of the kitchen, the ingredients were still fresh, flavorful, and satisfying.
If I could give this place 10 stars, I would. It is absolutely deserving of all the hype it has received, and I will definitely be returning as I continue exploring more vegan options in Austin.
I ordered the cornbread and it came out hot, tasted excellent with butter, and felt like the perfect start while everything else was coming together.
The jackfruit curry was the highlight—rich, well-seasoned, and genuinely satisfying, with a portion size that was just enough to leave you full without feeling weighed down.
Huge option list and it’s all vegetarian and vegan friendly. Was genuinely blown away. Had the corn muffin cake thing with lavender coffee and loved it. Bf had pasta which was amazing too.
When ordering too the server made sure to ask about vegan or dairy butter or milk options. Very happy to have visited and will definitely go super regularly!
Oh also there’s parking in the back
ever had
Easily the best vegan queso I’ve ever had, the best chickpea salad sandwich I’ve ever had (on big ol’ Texas toast), and the tastiest warm alcoholic drinks (something we have trouble finding in Wisconsin where they should be more common)
Also, very friendly and patient staff. They were always attentive and kind. I definitely got the impression that whoever was available would help out, whether or not they were ‘your server’.
Take a bow Bouldin Creek Cafe; you’ve touched this vegan’s heart (and stomach)
The moment I walked in, the place felt lively and welcoming the kind of Austin vibe that’s colorful, artsy, and full of good energy.
The staff were friendly and attentive without feeling rushed, and the food was fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared.
Whether you’re craving creative vegetarian dishes or just want a relaxing spot with great coffee and a fun atmosphere, this café hits the mark.
Overall, a wonderful lunch spot with great people, great food, and a vibrant atmosphere. Definitely a place I’ll be coming back to!
I asked to sit facing the window/front. I didn’t know that area is for people waiting to pickup food. Sorry for causing more work for everyone working that day.
