Boulangerie French Bakery has become one of my favorite locations to visit it’s always such a wonderful experience. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is warm, inviting, and just cozy. The display is beautiful, and you could tell everything was made with care and attention to detail.

The pastries are always absolutely delicious flaky, fresh, and perfectly balanced in sweetness. You can taste the quality ingredients, and nothing felt overly processed or rushed. The cookie dough croissants are the best item on the menu. Also the hot coco cupcakes are by far the best cupcakes I have ever had. Now I want another one.

What makes the visit even better is the customer service. Lydia is always kind, patient, and happy to answer questions or make recommendations, which make the experience feel personal rather than just another quick stop.

If you’re looking for a place to enjoy high-quality pastries, fresh bread, and a cozy atmosphere, I highly recommend stopping by. It’s the kind of bakery that makes you want to come back again and again.

This place is amazing. They did a wedding cake for my brother in October and even made my 21st birthday cake in December! They are so nice and easy to get into contact with. The cakes taste amazing they’re not too sweet and they do the designs I asked for! If you’re looking for a bakery this is the place! My birthday is December 2nd and it’s so hard to get a bakery to do a cake for it bc they’re usually closed for thanksgiving but this place took my order with like a 2 day notice and was able to make it happen!! I will definitely be ordering from them again!

If you’re looking for a little taste of France in Opelika, Boulangerie is the place to be. From flaky, buttery croissants to beautifully crafted cakes and perfectly brewed coffee, every bite here feels like a mini vacation. The staff is friendly, the atmosphere is warm, and the pastries are absolutely delicious. Whether you’re grabbing a quick coffee or picking up a fresh baguette for dinner, Boulangerie never disappoints. Highly recommend! ☕

I had such an awesome experience with this bakery. I called every bakery in town asking if they would make a smash cake for my son’s first birthday without added sugar since he’s only one. Every single place told me no.

Then I called Boulangerie — and they were completely different. Not only were they willing to do it, but they were so kind. They let me explain exactly what I wanted and never made me feel like I was asking for too much.

The cake turned out absolutely beautiful (it’s honestly a shame he’s going to smash it ), and the price was very reasonable for something custom.

If you’re looking for a bakery that is talented, accommodating, and genuinely kind, this is the place to go.

Stopped by for an afternoon snack while exploring Opelika. Found this fall speciality, a pumpkin croissant. Very tasty. A nice selection of deserts and pastries. Very friendly service also.

Thankfully, my ability to pronounce the location is not dependent on my ability to visit their! Phenomenal throwback to a lovely Parisian experience.

The pastries are quite tasty and amazing! I had an Americano which was crafted to perfection. And if I’m being honest, I was a bit surprised at the plethora of choices put before me. I very wide range on the sweet and savory scale.

One of the family favorites is the chocolate croissants so make sure you try one of those!

My only feedback would be that they could probably do with a decent sized dehumidifier. Many of the pastries were covered, but some were open air and I’m not sure about humidity in France, but in Alabama, it’s not an asset that said, flavor was still on point! Highly recommend.

This was my first and only time at Boulangerie. I called and told the woman who answered that I needed a cake and sent a picture off of their Facebook page. She suggested another and that’s what I ordered. I also told her it was for a birthday and sent a text with all of the information. I was still given the same price. When I picked up the order, I was charged $50 more than the quoted price. The woman told me the price I was quoted was just for the cake. The extra charges were for the writing, which seem to be the candied letters from the grocery store, and a decoration fee. I kept telling her that’s not what I was quoted. She offered me a slice of cake to “make up for the small difference.” If I hadn’t needed the cake for an event within a few hours, I would have left it there unpaid.

So grateful for this bakery Our only family tradition is birthday cinnamon rolls with a glass bottle Coke, and we’ve done it for 15 years. Since school started early, we couldn’t make them this year, but they delivered 6 vegan cinnamon rolls so the tradition could continue. Thank you so much, it truly means a lot.

I’d give them 6 stars if I could. The cashier was very sweet. The chocolate croissant I had was amazing and the americano was very good as well. I would have taken a picture of the croissant, but it looked so good I couldn’t help but dive in before taking a picture. 100% will be going back again. There was no seating inside that I could tell. I may have just missed it though. It seems that they have moved some of the items in the store around since some of the pictures in these older reviews were taken.

Yummy pastries, drinks, and various other French inspired goods in downtown Opelika! They also have a location in downtown Auburn which has a slightly larger menu.
