My husband ordered a medium rare steak with potatoes and it was cooked to perfection (see photos) I LOVED my seafood pasta. For appetizers we ordered the bread service and the Suppli al Telefono, which is like a fried cheese. It is cheese wrapped with rice and tomato sauce and deep fried. When you pull it apart it stretches out long and looks like telephones with the wire connecting them 🙂 The dessert donut tower came with a chocolate sauce and a pistachio sauce. We also had to try the dessert drinks, YUM! ALL VERY GOOD! I’m adding a photo I took (with their permission) of a couple from out of town, at the private table out front, so charming!
What an incredible experience from start to finish. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, the service was attentive, and the food was outstanding.
Every dish was clearly made with care and high-quality ingredients — rich flavors, well balanced, and beautifully presented. You can really tell when a kitchen takes pride in its craft, and that passion shines through here.
This is the kind of place you come to for a special evening but end up wanting to return to again and again. Highly recommend.
I ordered the Bruschetta Burrata & Prosciutto, and it was hands down the best bite I’ve had in 2026. The flavors worked together perfectly — unique but not overwhelming, rich but still fresh. Every single bite was chef’s kiss.
Then we got the Carbonara… and I’ve been holding out my whole life for the right one, and this was absolutely worth the wait. The guanciale (yes, that’s the meat!) was perfectly chewy and flavorful, and the sauce was so creamy and indulgent without being heavy. It was unreal.
And the donut tower? I went to heaven. No notes. Just pure happiness.
The service was incredible. Valerio and his wife were so attentive and welcoming — you can tell they truly care about the experience. 10/10, we will absolutely be back.
If you want an unforgettable dining experience, look no further than Bottega Salaria. From the moment you walk in, it’s clear that no detail has been missed. There’s an overwhelming feeling of comfort and warmth that subtly transports you right into an old family home in Rome. We were immediately welcomed by the owner, Valerio, and his wife, which set a wonderful tone for the evening.
The food is spectacular. We started with the Bread Service, enjoying a Selection of our Home made bread (Whipped butter, olive oil, balsamic), and the Mix Bruschette. The bruschetta with Pecorino, artichokes, mint & lemon, as well as the Tomato and basil; Olive oil & garlic, were mind-blowing. It’s crazy how such simple ingredients can be so transportational. Next, we had the Cheese and Charcuterie Selection. Antonio actually sliced our meat to order specifically for our board! Combined with raw honey and fresh Bosc pears, it was perfection.
For our entrees, we had the Pici Cacio e Pepe, made with Pecorino, black pepper and perfectly al dente house-made noodles. We also shared the Pollo alla Cacciatora (Chicken, olives, garlic, rosemary) and the Saltimbocca alla Romana. The Veal, prosciutto, sage dish was Rome beautifully encapsulated on a plate.
We ended the night with the Maritozzo con La Panna, a decadent Roman traditional brioche filled with vanilla whipped cream. Everything was truly perfect.
Highly recommend!
The food was amazing. A well traveled friend said it was better than some places she has eaten in Italy. We shared the Bruschetta and Artichokes. Each ordered our own pasta course, and then shared the Gelato and Tiramisu. The tiramisu was light and delicious.
I can’t say enough good things about this restaurant. Please go and eat here. You will not be disappointed!!
