Indian vegetarian dishes prepared in a counter-serve cafe with minimalist, white-walled decor.

An accessible place where you can walk-in and have a variety of Indian street food choices. I have been visiting this place since it’s opening. Initially I was just excited to have access to Indian street food so close to my neighborhood. But as time has passed my expectations have increased for Indian food. As a number of high quality Indian restaurants choices are available in the area. My overall take is for the price the restaurant owner can improve the quality of food and services. I occasionally visit this place now to eat papri chaat. A very popular street food from northern India and very easy to make it taste amazing. But they continue to do a horrible job of making it.
I am hopeful someday they will check YouTube and learn how to make amazing papri chaat and amaze their customers.

Ordered the Jalebi and was let down by both the presentation and the flavor. It didn’t have the right appearance or texture, and the taste was quite off. For the price, I expected something much more authentic. Definitely not the best spot for sweets

We ordered takeout food yesterday, but unfortunately, the items we received at pickup did not match what we had ordered. We had requested the Gobi Paratha Thali, but instead received the Aloo Paratha Thali. This was particularly disappointing because it was an Indian festival day, and my spouse was observing a fast. She didn’t say much, but I could clearly see the disappointment on her face when we realized the mistake.
We had also ordered a Paneer Paratha Thali, but the paratha was quite dry and hard, with very little stuffing.
The salad was not fresh.
The curries included were okay okay. Aloo and onion parantha were decent.
When I called to report the incorrect order, the staff mentioned that they had simply packed what was provided by the kitchen. They were polite and did apologize, but I’m not confident that any corrective action will be taken based on this feedback.

Terrible service and zero accountability – avoid this place!
I had an incredibly frustrating experience at Chaat House Bothell. I ordered a Veg Biryani, but they served me a mix of Paneer and Gobi Biryani instead. Mistakes happen, but what followed was unacceptable.
Despite their website clearly listing Veg Biryani as a standard item, the staff arbitrarily decided to “redefine” it to include Paneer and Gobi. When I pointed out the error and asked them to make it right, they flatly refused to do anything. I made multiple attempts to resolve the issue, but they wouldn’t offer a replacement or even an alternative option. It is extremely rude to make a clear mistake and then refuse to fix it for a paying customer. It’s obvious this management prioritizes profits over basic customer service.
Save your money and go somewhere else where they actually value their customers and honor their own menu. I will never be returning here.

I visited Chaat House in Bothell and had a very disappointing experience. I ordered Ghee Podi Idly, Aloo Poori, and Mysore Bonda. The so called Ghee Podi Idly had no ghee at all, which completely ruined the dish. The Aloo Poori was one of the most unsatisfying dishes I’ve had it lacked flavor, freshness, and any proper preparation. The Mysore Bonda was ready but was left sitting on the counter, and no one even bothered to tell me my food was ready. By the time I got it, the taste and texture were spoiled.
What made the whole experience even worse was the terrible service and bad attitude from the staff. There was no courtesy, no communication, and no effort to serve the customer properly. Leaving food on the counter without informing, ignoring customers, and showing such careless behavior is unacceptable for a restaurant. Overall, this was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had bad food combined with even worse service. Honestly, it felt like a complete waste of money, and I would strongly recommend avoiding this place unless they seriously improve both their food quality and staff attitude.

Good eatery for Indian soul/street food. The food is great and is palatable for most people. It is counter service so you need to order at the register. Food takes some time to come out and they will yell your order number. It does get crowded and the register area gets more crowded as people are waiting for the food. Cleanliness is ok. They could clean the tables now and then as it has some streaks of food spilled from past customers. Also, water, cutlery and napkins are self service as well. It does give a more street food kind of vibe without being a street food vendor. Overall, a good place to go even for non-indians.

Ordered Saag and Makki di roti. Roti was too hard to chew I mean it was not chewable, not sure how they make it as makki di roti is supposed to be very soft and easy to chew.
I wish they try to eat their own food before adding to the menu. I ll Never ever go there again

They give curry thats not even sufficient for one Poori and ask us to buy additional curry. Are they selling Pooris or curry? All other times were just okay and staff was very rude.

Firstly, the ambience wasn’t that good. The tables weren’t clean. The whole water station wasn’t clean either. They don’t wear gloves or hairnets. Honestly, if you could prefer takeout rather than sitting there.
Next coming to food. It’s average. We tried Gobi Manchuria, Annapurna Thali and Mysore Bonda. All are subpar. Not worth it if you ask my opinion. Manchuria was burnt and the chutney for the bonda was disgusting.

Our go to for Rava Dosa, Masala Dosa, Kashmiri Kulcha, Chole Bhatura, Jalebi, Gobi Manchurian. The chutneys and sambar are not the best but they are not spicy and thus, kids and people not into burning hot spice will like it. Overall, food is tasty with a little kick, not too hot that it takes away from the taste. The high chairs are nasty and could be better taken care. Still we come back to this place regularly as the price is right.
