I brought a small group of employees here hoping to treat them to a nice Brazilian lunch, as I’ve eaten at many Brazilian restaurants before and was excited to introduce them to the cuisine.
Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing from the start. When I asked about the lunch menu (which I had seen online), the hostess said yes in an annoyed tone but didn’t provide it or explain where to find it. I had to look through the menu myself and eventually found individual meals in the $30–$35 range.
One of my employees, who isn’t familiar with Brazilian food, asked what farofa was. Since the waitress was standing right next to us, I politely asked her to explain. She closed her eyes for several seconds, appeared visibly irritated, and gave a very poor explanation. When I asked about the difference between two steak options, she again seemed annoyed and struggled to explain it.
Shortly after, I noticed a clear change in her demeanor when another table arrived. She was noticeably friendlier and more engaged with them, speaking Portuguese and interacting warmly. I’m not sure if this was a language barrier or something else, but regardless, there was no reason for the rude and dismissive attitude we experienced.
A staff member from the bar later came to take our appetizer order, which never arrived. Meanwhile, the waitress and bartender were talking and laughing while looking over at our table, which made the situation even more uncomfortable.
The food itself was okay, but by then the experience had already been ruined. We had planned to order dessert, but my entire group asked to leave instead.
I live nearby and my child attends school just minutes away, so I was really hoping this could become a regular spot for us. Unfortunately, due to the unprofessional service and uncomfortable atmosphere, I won’t be returning.

That was my first time visiting Boteco do Manolo Bar & Restaurant. I know they have multiples location but I chose the one located in Windermere.
I believe it was the best decision since I had an unforgettable experience. Everything was simply amazing!
Firstly, the location is new and it is located in a nice part of Windermere.
Secondly, the food is DELICIOUS!
They are a Brazilian restaurant and I was impressed by the variety of dishes they have in the menu!
They have Lamb, Steaks, Chicken, Seafood, Codfish, appetizers and desserts.
They have very good options for the whole family. I went there with my wife and 2 boys – 4y and 13y.
Starting with the appetizers, I ordered a 1)crab cake —> Petit diced crab meat with parmesan cheese au gratin, and 2)Brazilian traditional fritters —> 2 codfish, 2 shrimp with brazilian creamy cheese, 2 black beans, 2 jerked beef and 2 short ribs! DELICIOUS!
For entree we ordered for the kiddos the very traditional Brazilian steak named PICANHA. They have the BEST in town! Very juice and delicious!
My wife ordered the shrimp a Dom Manolo. She loved it!
I ordered codfish. It came with potato, rice, olive oil and garlic. It tasted amazingly good!! ❤️❤️
For dessert we ordered dulce de leche flan (the best for me!) and my kids ordered the brownies and ice cream!! Giant and delicious!
The severs are friendly and very supportive. They explain each item of the menu and bring good recommendations based on our preferences. Carol was our server and she rocked! She is amazing!
All the plates have enough food for 3 – 5 people!
And… price are very reasonable!
I will definitely return with my family and friends to this restaurant.

Best Brazilian food I have ever had. The short rib empanadas were tender and juicy. They were so flavorful I wish I could find in Wisconsin! The steak was more flavorful with the fat and all the side dishes. My new favorite is kale with massive amounts of garlic! Well done!!! We will be back. Thank you for the wonderful service and food.
