Boston South has amazing desserts, bread, and soups. The desserts are so fluffy. The scali bread and baguette has a crunchy outside with a soft melt in your mouth inside. Which I absolutely love. The French onion soup was delicious with so much flavor. It was a great comfort food. Everyone was so nice and friendly. You’re greeted with a smile and heartfelt welcome as soon as you walk through the door.

If you haven’t been to Boston South, you are missing out!!! The Irish pimento cheese is amazing and I don’t even like pimento cheese!! And the Oreo chocolate mousse is one of the best things I’ve ever eaten. Ever heard of Scali bread? I hadn’t either but it’s now my favorite bread. The service and atmosphere is also the most welcoming. I was able to sit and hang with friends but also run in and out depending on the day. Tom and his crew are the best.

Everything that I’ve ever gotten here has been phenomenal. Cannoli, macaroons, cookies, cheesecake, mousse bowls…none of it has missed. The savory items – pimento cheese and house made dressings – are also phenomenal. I live and work in Washington, so it’s a bit of a hike to make it to the store front. I’ve begun finding reasons to go to Greenville just so I can “swing in”.

I had been buying directly from Tom in the “earlier days” and was SO excited to see a brick and mortar store come to fruition! I shouldn’t have told so many people about the pimento cheese because it is fabulous and in demand! Everything is fresh and delicious! The desserts were devoured quickly when I took them to social gatherings. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would!

I’ve tried quite a bit of the different desserts as well as breads and sauces. There isn’t one thing I’d say stay away from! Everything is so fresh and delicious every time! I would have added photos but everything gets eaten before I remember to take a picture. Also, there isn’t a pastry shop around that makes pastries like they do in Boston, so thank you for bringing a little piece of home to Greenville.

Everything I have eaten from here is tasty – the arancini, the chocolate cookies with cream cheese chips, the mousse. But the pimento cheese is AMAZING! I had some in my scrambled eggs this morning along with some ham, and I think I may never be able to eat just plain cheese in my eggs again. I’ll be back again — with friends.

Boston South is AMAZING! You will not regret any calories you consume because it is absolutely amazing. The cream they use is so light yet full of flavor. Rasberry Flakey Puff is also a chefs kiss. We had to stock the house up for the week (probably will end up only being the weekend ). Everyone who works there is so kind too!
