Tyler was our server and he did a great job. Very courteous, guided us through the menu, and was very attentive to our table. All of the staff was very communicative. The restaurant is very but professional. The chicken skewers were tender and moist. Highly recommended

The restaurant was surprisingly busy on a Saturday afternoon. We had attentive service and even questions about allergies were answered professionally. Food was tasty and fresh! The menu is really large so there’s lots to try. Not just Brazilian food, also pasta, Pizza etc.

Honestly, chose this place because when I was in the search of “something different” for lunch in LA, I spotted their Frango com Catupiry Pizza on the menu… i just knew I had to go and try it. When I arrived, I was greeted promptly and told to have a seat anywhere I would like. Alex Miranda helped me with ordering one of their signature Brazilian drinks called Caipirinha (Passion Fruit is what I chose) and assured me my choice in the pizza was the best. When I got my pizza, no lies were told, honestly, the best!! Definitely a good choice after two great hikes.

I had the best experience here! Although it was a very busy night, I was seated as soon as 10min from the time I got there. The team works very efficiently together. My server was Andre and he was so sweet, patient and overall a great person. I was so grateful to have had him take care of us, not only was he very attentive, I saw how amazing he multitasked all of us with ease and grace. We had a great night thanks to him!! Definitely the best bossa nova experience i’ve had compared to other locations. They have it in lock here 🙂

This place came highly recommended on our trip to LA. We had the fish of the day dish and it was delicious. It was like a chicken picata but with fish and mashed potatoes instead of pasta. The sea bass was cooked perfectly and the potatoes were lovely. The sautéed greens had good flavor but we would have preferred a vegetable with more bite like an asparagus to balance out the soft fish and potatoes. The empanadas were really good. Very flaky pastry and the fillings were good. The sauce was interesting. We weren’t a fan of the cheese breads. They were very dense and I wasn’t keen on the kind of cheese they used.
The red velvet cake and caramel fudge cheesecake should not be missed. They were exceptional.
I was not a fan of the passionfruit margarita.
Service was friendly but we noticed that our server was nowhere to be found for most of our visit. It took us awhile to get the check.
Overall it was a good experience and we would definitely visit again.

From the moment we arrived the staff was friendly and communicative. Let us know how long (which wasn’t long at all) the wait would be and even checked in with us periodically. The food and service was great. Our server Tyler was phenomenal. He gave great recommendations, explained menu items and was friendly and smiley! Actually the best server I’ve had in 4 years I’ve been in LA. Top notch. Yay Tyler! It was a fairly busy Friday and it didn’t feel chaotic or like anyone was being ignored. Staff even apologized for some changes and delays which weren’t even a big deal or very noticeable which meant a lot. They go over and beyond for sure and you can tell they genuinely enjoy their jobs and the customers bossa nova serve.

Great food! The flatbread and Sangria is definitely the way to start the meal! The steak was flavorful and great quality. I highly recommend you stop in!

The service, location and and decor was all great – Bossa Nova is a very cozy spot to eat. The menu is a little bit all over, offering options like pizzas and Italian pastas and I wish they just would have stuck to authentic Brazilian cuisine. My friend got a feijoada bowl and I got a traditional chicken breast from the grill. For me, it was a relatively dry plate – i’m not sure if I was expected to order a sauce of some kind, but if so, I would have loved some guidance from our waiter.
Not bad, but definitely one of the more forgettable meals I had during my stay in LA.

Food was absolutely amazing, but the plate was ridiculously small. We got asked by the server if something was missing and sad: “Yes, the plates.” And he went on to say the little tea plates were THE plates. Absolutely ridiculous. Not usually a Karen but this caused the whole table to have fallen rice on it.
