Outstanding in every aspect. Beer, food, staff and atmosphere. Not too loud either. It’s a beautiful, old historic Hales Corners building and was rightly preserved during the road expansion. Super friendly, expert staff will take great care of you. Menu is a little limited compared to some places, but what they do, they do very well indeed. Make sure you try the freshly smoked brisket on a Saturday evening (usually around 5pm) before they sell out. Fish fry is always top of the line too. Highly recommend this place if you like beer, good food and good conversation.

Been a loyal customer for over 20 years. Mentioned to my waitress that some of the fishfry was slimy and mushy. Not the first time either. She talked to the owner, Basically got an oh well response. No discount, no offer of a replacement fish. Very highly disappointed. Wait staff has always been great, but because of the lack of quality on the chefs part. I will never return and I will let everyone I know my experience there. Like I said, wasn’t the first time there was a problem with the quality of the product. 5 stars to the wait staff. 0 stars for the owner who controls the quality.

Went there for the first time in ages after a memorial service during a bad snow storm…February 8th. Still a great, friendly place. I enjoyed a shot in honor of my dear departed friend ❤️. I’ll be back to eat and enjoy the atmosphere under better circumstances.

We ate here for lunch on a Sunday. We were seated immediately. Our waitress was pleasant. We ordered the brisket sandwiches and the pulled pork and pulled chicken sandwiches. Two thumbs up on the sandwiches. The portions were ample. The dry rubbed fries were delicious.

Came in at open on a Sunday with a party of five. We were the first in. Everything we had (2 orders wings, tenders basket, burger, Reuben, brisket sandwich, chicken sandwich) was well-prepared and tasty. Good bloodys (3) and beer selection (4); service was friendly and attentive. Liked the “up north” atmosphere. Prices were ok, but $1.75 per wing? The tab ($30 per person) makes this a once-in-a-while choice for us.

I stop in here time to time, and it is always great. The dry rub they put on the wings is amazing. You can also get it on your fries. It is a wonderful place in a cool old building. Highly recommended!

The staff is super friendly that’s a great thing! Nice selection of beers on tap. The food, although not the greatest, it was still pretty decent. There’s definitely room for improvement, I’d recommend focusing more on the flavor rather than the size of the meal, quality over quantity. I would definitely order the nachos again, I’m not so sure about the burger, wish the meat had more flavor to it.
