I was very disappointed today with the seafood boil. My husband and I always go to get our seafood boil here. We will always recommend to friends. Today a friend drove from Greensboro to see me, she wanted seafood- I immediately said, no worries. I know the best spot! I ordered a seafood boil, it was very dry, looked like the food was steamed for a little and then dried season was sprinkled on top. It was not marinated in any “special “ sauce. The potato was not cooked. It was just terrible. The server was very helpful and understanding. She agreed with what I was saying, and by the look of it- it was obvious. I really tried to eat it- but I couldn’t. After we were walking out, another lady at the check out window, told my friend and I- come back again and bring you friends. So I proceeded to tell her, I was actually there bringing my friend. Then I added about how disappointed I was about the food, and I asked did the chef change? What’s different? The boil is always phenomenal here. I explained to her what I experienced. To my surprise, she looked at me, and out from her mouth she courageously said, “YES, I KNOW, I WAS JUST TOO BUSY AND I RUSHED IT!” I couldn’t believe my ears! It was not peak time, and there was two other families dining at the time. But that shouldn’t even matter. Cause at the end of the day, customers are paying their hard earned money. QUALITY FOOD is what should always be given.

On a sunny Sunday afternoon in November, my wife and I were visiting the Swansboro area to visit with family. We decided on heading into Swansboro for lunch … and thank goodness we stumbled upon a somewhat hidden gem …Boro’s Low Country Kitchen.We used a side entrance that led to a rear outdoor seating area next to the water. I found out that a front entrance led to both a vibrant indoor restaurant and additional tables outside that had canopies for shade. The menu lits appetizers. I recommend the Crab-Cheese Fries. Wow! There was a great selection of kid’s meals, sanwiches, fried seafood baskets and low country boils that they are famous for. However, I love flounder and ordered the Grandwich that featured an oversized filet of flounder. The service was prompt and courteous. Our views out the water and fishing boats added to our experience. I heartily recommend Boro’s for great seafood while in Swansboro.

This place was charming, a bit warm, but so much fun. The citrus sweet tea was delicious! Our server was so sweet and very helpful. Our food was absolutely delicious. My family (2 adults 2 kids) shared a medium boil and it was way too much food! The leftovers were delicious! The hush puppies were also fantastic. I would eat here every day if I could!

Quaint local place with lovely people and several excellent dishes. Would highly recommend the tuna tartare starter, fried flounder and shrimp platter, broiled scallops were also delicious.

Basically southern style seafood boils at this adjunct of another restaurant is the attraction here.
Excellent crayfish, shrimp seemed fresh, no off taste/smell, crisp. Broth not salty, with seemingly fresh herbs (? thyme/parsley).
Potatoes nicely seasoned skin. Sausage spicey, but still with a meat taste.
Their own tea mix was as described: not too sweet, citrus taste.
Sitting area overlooked the inlet right on the water.
Total bill for us was $29 (no alcohol).
Very friendly service.
How this place wasn’t packed on a beautiful Friday is beyond me, but it will be soon.

this place is amazing we tried it out about a month ago for the first time and went back 2 weeks ago for my birthday. we get the amazing crab cheese fries and the boil with double crab, oysters, shrimp, potatoes, corn, and sausage. we always had a few leftovers. it’s buttery, seasoned well, and the parmesan is amazing makes the oysters just so much better. the only thing i have to say is we had to leave early on my birthday for these two inconsiderate women who were absolutely rude to the waitress and complained the whole time that all they had was seafood and didn’t have what they wanted bc she didn’t like fish. it was outlandish really so we got up and got our food to go. hate people are so stupid and rude nowadays but other than that my favorite place to eat in onslow county for sure!!!

I love this place! I’ve gone here every time i’ve been in Swansburo with my family! The fries are very delicious and uniform (as a teenager with a love for french fries) Kim B is beyond sweet and such an amazing person! Love it here!
