I really like finding good Indonesian/Singaporean spots in the SGV. I’ve heard good things about this place, but tonight’s meal missed the mark. The seafood fried rice and laksa were decent, as was the roti (hence the 2 stars), but the nasi bungkus (described as the house special) was the most letdown for the night.

The nasi bungkus was served to us wrapped in paper, which was fine, but it was also placed in a plastic bag tied up, which made me think it was a leftover to-go order. It was also the first dish out to our table and extremely hot to touch, like it had been microwaved. Not only that, but it also tasted sour. Not tangy curry sour, but a spoiled, slightly off-tasting sour. We asked the server if the dish was supposed to taste sour, and he acted like he didn’t understand the question and offered basically to cover up the taste with more curry sauce instead. We repeated our question several times and all he said was if it was too sour he could give us free curry sauce. It didn’t make the dish taste any better and our stomachs felt funny at the end of the meal. This dish was also not on the menu so I didn’t know about the cost ($18 before tax) until it was time to pay. This was easily the most questionable meal I’ve had in awhile, not only in terms of food quality but also in service. I’d think twice about coming back.

We’ve come here twice now and the food never disappoints. The Nasi Padang, they only offered Friday through Sunday and the chicken satay are our favorites. Everything else was okay, but those two dishes really stand out!

Great Indonesian food. Pretty authentic.
If you are eating here, you can also get some coffee from next door Uncle Fung Coffee Stall.

Normally only ordered to-go from this place, because it’s ALWAYS packed! But the one time I came here, I was in luck! So I had to get some! They Chicken Satay Curry Rice plate was a must! Heck, you can’t go wrong with anything on their menu.

Small, quai t local establishment. Friendly staff. Wonderful food. It’s cool to see what what countries and regions have their version of noodles and soups n stuff. I am pleased!!!

Someone bought me a takeout from here so I decided to come back here again right on the next day with my friends.
For real, the food here is worth the hype. Good amount of portion, taste rich in flavor. I feel filled and satisfied after finishing my plate.
The restaurant is small but it is pretty chill if you manage to get a seat. Even if you don’t, the takeout doesn’t ruin the quality of the food.
My friend got a coffee here. They comment it a bit too sweet but I believe you will love it if you have a sweet tooth.
Again, Worth the Hype. Bring your friends here.
Trust me, it is THAT great!

I really miss Malaysian / Singaporean food and travelled a long distance to reach this place. Despite being non peak hour there were still many diners here – a promising sign. I ordered Laksa and Cendol and settled back to anticipate my go to choices.

The Laksa flavour was good – creamy coconut broth with the spice of curry. The ingredients were adapted, which somewhat reduced the authenticity of the dish. The Cendol ingredients were right but served like boba tea – another adaptation that’s more American than Malaysian. Regardless, I’m awarding stars for the taste as I’m a long way from home.

Service was perfunctory and minimal. The effect on the painted walls evoke a vintage feel, taking me back to the two countries of my childhood.

Service was not good. Even though we put our name on the waitlist and there were open tables we still had to go up and ask to be seated. Glad we did or we might’ve had to wait longer. The food was good but it was too crowded and hectic.

One of my favorite places in town! The Singapore laksa soup and roti prata are must-haves. You will not be disappointed! Also, large free parking garage right behind the restaurant.

The food was good overall. Noodles in a coconut curry soup, which was flavorful and a bit spicy . The fried rice e was pretty good- I probably should have gone with noodles instead to try something new. Price have gone up a little.
