I’ve been in search for a bagel shop with gluten-free bagels. Only a few places in Louisville carry them. To my surprise, Born 2 Bagel does. I ordered the cream cheese and lox sandwich on an “everything” gluten-free bagel. It was delicious and quite a large portion. The owner told me that his team scratch makes the gluten free bagels. The texture and flavor were spot-on. My husband ordered a sausage and egg sandwich on a regular Asiago bagel, and enjoyed it. Great service and friendly people behind Born 2 Bagel. Excited to go back soon!

Absolutely 1 of a kind bagel shop in Louisville. Locally owned and operated by a veteran of the Louisville food industry. A restauranteur with his origin in Long Island New York you can taste the New York influence in the food. Born 2 bagel finally disproves the myth that the water in New York is responsible for the delicious bagels. Seems to just be good technique and understanding that consistency is key.
I recommend an egg everything bagel with house made sausage, American cheese, and an egg. Ketchup and pepper if you really want the authentic bodega style New York order.

Breakfast sandwich was fantastic. Thick sausage patty, bagel itself tasted fresh and had the perfect texture. I didn’t realize a plain bagel could taste this good. Definitely recommend checking out for brunch.

I had a great experience at Born to Bagels! I ordered two everything bagels—one with cream cheese and salmon, and another with egg and cheese—along with a coffee.
The bagels were fresh, fluffy, and absolutely delicious—nothing like the dense, store-bought kind. The vegetables were crisp, and the salmon was incredibly flavorful and high quality.
The service was outstanding—the staff was welcoming, helpful, and took the time to explain the menu, making it easy for me to choose.
The only thing I’d love to see improved is the coffee quality. When I received my coffee, it was cold, but the staff kindly made a fresh one upon my request. Unfortunately, it still tasted burnt and wasn’t very enjoyable. Since they serve breakfast, I hope they can improve both the preparation and coffee selection to match the excellence of their bagels.
Overall, I highly recommend this place for amazing bagels and top-notch service. I’ll definitely be back!

So many options and the bagel was so fresh and delicious. I had the jalapeño cream cheese. Eggs and bacon cooked to order — I like mine crispy. The iced coffee comes with ice that’s made of coffee — so it won’t get watered down.

Bagels and cream cheese are top notch. I recommend the Egg Everything variety. I also really like their potato cakes, so fluffy and tasty. Good service, the owner has always been there working when I’ve been there which has to help make it as consistent as it is. 4/5 on atmosphere just because they kept the dozen+ TV’s on the walls from when it was Seasoned, and it doesn’t match the vibe. Not a big deal though, it’s always clean and in good shape. Go check this place out if you’re in the area!

Delicious NY style bagels, with all the varieties and schmears you could possibly want. Super crunchy on the outside and chewy and soft on the inside. I didn’t try much past that because I was so taken with the bagels I didn’t try anything else.
