This place is really a hidden gem. I believe due to the negative review they are very underrated. The food is amazing, perfectly seasoned & tender. Literally the best Puerto Rican food i have tasted in the state of Florida at a restaurant!!

I ordered a Cuban and it took over 20 min to make. When I received my food it was SOAKED in mayo and was only chopped pork. No ham or Swiss. It was a wet mess and the owner refused a refund until I argued with him. $12 for just a sandwich and came out like that?! No wonder I have never seen anyone eating there. I wish I could give 0 stars

Best pollo guisado!! The plantain and rice were delicious and surprisingly packed with so much flavor. There was no line at all so we decided to check it out. It was a such a pleasant surprise and I still think about this to this day on the time we got food from a mall and being this was 2 months ago.

I rarely leave reviews, but I felt compelled to share my recent experience. From start to finish, the service was inattentive and disorganized. It was a complete letdown. The dishes were bland and lacked any real flavor or seasoning — it was as if they had been thrown together without care. To make matters worse, the flan we ordered for dessert was clearly spoiled. The texture was off, and the taste was sour and unpleasant — definitely not safe to eat. Considering the quality (or lack thereof), the prices were ridiculously high. I don’t mind paying more for a great meal and good service, but this was neither. Overall, a deeply disappointing experience that I wouldn’t recommend to anyone. There are plenty of better options out there such as San Juan Mi Casita Boricua located on Hwy 98.

Yummy food (I tried the stewed Pork with orange rice and plantains)but – it all smelled and looked good … side of yucca to try – which is now my new healthier starch option for future meals for my family . They are in the Lakeland mall food court with many different nationalities of other food choices – love the variety ! This food court is a little secret !

They didnt have half the items on the menu. When we finally settled on something they did have it took 30 minutes to get the order and it was terrible. They deserve a zero!

I ordered the pollo guisado and yellow rice with plantains. All were delicious!! I ordered yuca, white rice, and the chicken leg for my kids to share. And that meal wasn’t great. The chicken was dry, no flavor and yuca was also dry and no flavor which was upsetting. I tasted their food because it looked great! Unfortunately the white rice was the best part of that meal, my kids didn’t eat much of the chicken and ate all the rice. Service was alright and there was no line.

First time eating from here. Service was friendly but pork and portion was subpar. We ate at 1:00 pm on a Tuesday and the pork tasted like it was from the day before. The pork was not tender at all, it was hard pieces that were both dry and greasy at the same time. The red beans and rice were really tasty but we were barely served any beans over the rice which I wish we had more of because they were delicious. The plantains were ok, a little dry and cold but weren’t too bad. I will still try this place again but I’ll be trying to chicken next time which looked amazing. Lastly, for the price, the portions feel like they need to be a little more generous.
