We sat in a booth and did the full Korean BBQ experience, cooking our food at the table. The food itself was good, and we enjoyed trying a variety of items, including soup, kimchi, and different proteins. However, service was the biggest area for improvement. The menu can be a bit confusing, and while we asked several questions, our server was often absent and didn’t check in frequently. There were multiple times we were out of water or drinks and had to flag someone down, which was frustrating given the price point.
When our server did stop by, he seemed rushed—not unfriendly, but not particularly engaged or willing to spend time explaining the menu or enhancing the experience. We also had to ask for additional sauces rather than having options explained to us, which would have been helpful, especially for first-time diners paying for the full BBQ experience.
One additional note: there are no kid-specific menu options, and the restaurant doesn’t feel particularly family-oriented. While that’s not necessarily a negative, it’s worth noting for guests with children. This spot definitely feels more geared toward adults, date nights, or groups of friends.
Overall, the food and atmosphere were enjoyable, but more attentive and educational service would greatly elevate the experience. We’d return again—most likely without children and for a more relaxed adult evening.
Food is absolutely delicious.
The grill is great, not smelly at all.
Nice place for an official lunch or dinner.
The art gallery adjoining the restaurant is good touch.
Not a thing to complain about from the menu. Love that it’s ssam focused! Food cooked at your table on tip of a cast iron grill heated with charcoal.
Hands down the very best seafood pancake I’ve had. The batter is just enough to hold the pancake together. Reminiscent of the Viet Shrimp Fritters (banh tom). The beef glass noodle dish was fantastic. We had one of the “combos” for the meat selection. We had beef ribeye, filet, and boneless rib. Comes with pineapple, shrooms, onion, and customary side dishes. Side dishes were good, typical cabbage radish, pickle, mashed potatoes, and I was surprised not to see fish cakes.
One thing to note is that their flavors are on the delicate side, that is, it complements to showcase the flavors of the meat, instead if overtaking over the dish. If you like dishes where you can’t tell the difference between the meats where the sauce is the showcase, then this place might not be for you.
I had the choffle, where it’s a waffle made of two whole croissants, topped with fruit and 2 scoops of ice cream. It was definitely more than I was expecting and struggled to just finish half. The croffle part was okay but their ice cream was something else wonderful.
I’m glad to find a korean bbq place that i can recommend again.
You just try seafood pancake. It’s so crunchy and really really good.
This place is definitely on the higher end when it comes to Korean BBQ. The meat is so fresh and tender, packed with flavor. My favorites are the pork belly and marinated boneless short ribs – they’re seasoned perfectly.
The atmosphere is relaxed and much quieter compared to other Korean BBQ spots, which I really appreciate.
Our waitress was good as well. She was friendly and cooked the meat well.
