Food is good quality diner type food. And just what you want on a weekend morning when you can treat yourself. All of the breakfast dishes were good (been here twice and had pancakes, breakfast burrito and regular breakfast dish with eggs/toast). One thing that makes you want to come back and enjoy the experience is the service. Joe and Kelly (forgive me if names aren’t correct) are great. Joe has been my primary server on both visits and he not only calls everyone friend he treats you like a friend. I’ll be back again!

Outstanding breakfast!! Had a very hometown diner kind of feel. Many of the staff and customers had relationships and as a first timer, we were treated with A+ service and felt right at home. Then there was the food! Our meals were DELICIOUS!! And everything going by us has us wanting to go back tomorrow.

This is definitely going to be a new fav spot, and lucky for us it’s right down the road. Excellent everything! If you’re reading this, just go there and I promise you’ll be happy you did!

Stuffed French toast was amazing. The omelet was also good, but oddly flat. Will definitely be returning.

Thank you for letting us know why your family owned business has been around for over 30 years.

From the moment we walked into the Borderline Cafe; we immediately felt the warmest of welcome extended to each and every customer walking through the door from Rae and Joe.

We loved the “Hi Friends” and other pleasantries extended as guests entered. ❤️

The service was with a smile and the food made with love. Our breakfast tasted just as the service. Everything we ordered was delicious and coffee was hot and refilled before my cup was empty.

If you are ever in the Cleveland area, beeline it to Borderline. They will help you start your day off right.

Hands down the best blueberry pancakes I’ve ever had anywhere-you will dream of these!
And their whole menu is both comfort food with great creative twists-the chorizo breakfast tacos & their eggs Benedict are what I cannot seem to stop ordering to try something else! Great menu with super reasonable prices, with both breakfast & brunch type items, everything fresh & totally cooked quickly to order.
Darling, clean, cheerful cafe with very friendly, professional service-owner is local and runs the cafe herself! Rae, my server, is so great & remembers your orders when you eat there more than a couple of times, which we have. Every time we eat there I wonder why I eat anywhere else for breakfast!
Expect a line out the door on weekends, but it’s a friendly line & this place is worth the wait!

In search of a diner in Lakewood, Ohio, I discovered this establishment. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. There were so many choices on the menu! As a first timer, my friend and I settled on the Chorizo Tacos and Breakfast Quesadilla. We added a blueberry muffin. The muffin was grilled–absolutely amazing! The food was prepared to order and exceeded my expectations. If you are looking for a delicious spot for breakfast/brunch–this is it!

Phenomenal 5/5 experience! Everyone is very kind and the food makes me feel like I’m home. It does get pretty busy so if you’ve got sensory issues I’d recommend some earplugs / headphones.

We tried Borderline for breakfast this morning and the food was great, we loved the french toast, and the chorizo burrito. However, we had no idea that a line forms outside and that’s how you wait to get into the restaurant. We walked in hoping to put our name down and they said they do not take names, just to wait in the line outside and they will seat us. Many other people thought the same as us and while we were eating, came in hoping to put their name in. A few times the staff seemed to get upset with the people walking in and were actually rude to the customers. There are no signs anywhere saying to wait outside, I feel like they need a better system so that the staff doesn’t get so flustered and so the customers aren’t confused. Definitely need to get a sign saying to wait outside.

Easily one one of the best breakfasts in all of Cleveland. Super friendly, fast service. Delicious, fresh ingredients. Huge, varied menu. Hot, fresh coffee. Couldn’t ask for much more. A+

Small place. Cute atmosphere. Friendly staff. The food, bleh. Such a disappointment. The hot honey chicken & waffle would’ve been great had the chicken not been hockey pucks. Overcooked and hard to cut into, let alone eat. They told me sorry but didn’t offer to remake the chicken. High priced meal for a poorly made meal.
