A very surprising venue for a meal, considering its a beefeater attached to a premier inn.

This just shows you don’t tar everything with the same brush.

A warm welcome, excellent table service throughout and a good meal all for a reasonable price.

Definitely will return.

Dinner was nice, staff were friendly and soundings were ok. Slightly worn/dirty in places.

Breakfast was nice, hot with a great selection. We were first in which helped.

I found one of the fireplaces funny, just because it was almost out of place. I guess missing the finishing touches.

I would recommend if in the area and in need of sustenance!

We had a family birthday, there was 6 adults and 2 children. Meal was lovely, for a Beefeater, everyone enjoyed theirs even the kids. The service was quick but there was some mistakes, which were corrected quickly. Overall it was a great celebration and the kids loved it as well.

A little out of the way, but quite with free onsite parking.
The staff were helpful and welcoming.
The menu was fair, and food served warm, I checked, and the plate was definitely warm ( personally, I don’t understand serving hot food on cold plates).
Gluten-free menu available. The coffee was good.
The toilets were unpleasant. The first cubicle I went in was vile.
Fully accessible, families welcome, baby changing facilities, detailed information on allergies are available if required.

Went after work with friends for tea. Unfortunately, there was no chicken available, so we had fish and chips, lasagne, and a halloumi kebab . Unfortunately, that didn’t have much halloumi on it.
We had a discount voucher so we paid 14 per person which was OK.
If you’re staying at the premiere inn next door, it’s a good place to eat without having to drive anywhere.

Absolutely awful. Was staying at the premier inn next door. Booked the meal package as we had been driving for 4 hours and didn’t want to drive around finding somewhere to eat. Waited 30 mins for starter, then after another 45 minutes with no main, walked out. We were told it was table service. No waitress in sight and weren’t even asked if we wanted another drink. Other people were complaining and the managers attitude was horrendous. If you weren’t part of the hotel package, the staff were very attentive and we watched several people get served before us after arriving much later, which made it ten times worse. Ended up with a tesco meal deal at 9pm. Only saving grace was that the premier inn gave a refund for dinner and breakfast no questions asked and were very apologetic.

Breakfast was really nice as usually. Zara the waitress was brilliant and friendly but seemed to be doing everything on her own. There was another guy working who was very rude and abrupt to her and didn’t look like he wanted to help. He was not professional in the slightest

The food was served hot and tasty, the day we visited the staff was covering for the regular staff whom seem to be all off on the same day. But nevertheless they did a wonderful job serving us. The place is wheelchair accessible and there are disabled parking bays. Free for customer of beefeater.

I would have given 5 stars if it hadn’t been for the attitude of our waitress when we came to pay, so 4 stars is based on the food but otherwise it would have been one. I have not eaten in a Beefeater since I went vegan which is over 35 years ago but they now have vegan options on the menu and we were staying at the Premier Inn next door so it was handy. To complicate matters I have allergies but checked the online allergen information and spoke with the Manager to discuss who was very helpful. We ordered a selection of dishes which for me were side dishes as the mains nearly all contained soya, but at least I was getting fed. Must admit the food was fine, very tasty and we left clean plates. When we asked to pay the waitress was belittling and condescending towards my husband when he was using the card reader. For some strange reason it would only accept contactless payments up to £45 not £100 like everywhere else. She seemed unable to grasp that the machine told my husband to use contactless even though our bill was more than £45. She got exceedingly excited and would not let him explain what the machine was telling him, she talked over him raising her voice as she did. All he was trying to do was explain what he, as a customer, was seeing on the screen, but she would have none of it. Worse the couple on the table next to us wanted to pay and she brought them into the belittling of my husband, as their bill was less than £45. It was totally embarrassing. To cap it all, when the couple left and she back to the table to clear it, she again kept banging on about how she knew better than the machine and him. I told her she needed to go outside, calm down and give us a break. She would have got a tip but for her attitude.

What a shame such a lovely evening was spoiled by the attitude of our waitress, it left a nasty taste. Maybe she should concentrate on honing her customer service and people skills rather than her exotic eye make up and the look she was trying to achieve. It is not cool to argue with customers.

The staff are friendly but, in the evening at least, service was quite slow. The food was good. Breakfast was super fast but that’s because it’s self service… I don’t know if breakfast is only for Premier Inn customers or from everyone, but it is very good value.
