The food was… not bad. My dish was not great. The sauce on my huevos rancheros was like a green chili that was about 80% onions, and they were not cooked down enough. I personally do not want to feel the crunch of onions in every bite I eat, but I finished it. Not terrible, just different.
My family ordered the breakfast burrito, crepes, and my sister was able to modify her order to be gluten free. The crepes did not come with the caramel as advertised and we had to ask them to add it. Everything was decent and fresh, but the style is definitely not the traditional Colorado style. Again, not bad, but it didn’t knock anyones socks off. The coffee drinks were good.
The service was interesting. While the server was incredibly friendly and attentive, everything came out in a strange order. One drink at a time, slowly, we were served. One coffee drink did not come out until after our food, while the rest of us received our drinks one at a time over maybe a ten minute period. If they had chips and salsa or something to snack on while waiting it might cut down on some of this perceived waiting. Again, the staff were amazing, but the way the food and drinks came out made it feel like they hadn’t done this before.
A few times during our late breakfast the birthday squad came out to other tables. They definitely put in effort. The music changed to happy birthday in the whole place and the staff came out with lights and masks on singing and gave my sister a slice of some awesome cake. They definitely put in effort here but we were saying the masks might scare small children. It was a nice touch though.
The food was hit and miss, they definitely put a lot of effort into the atmosphere. Definitely a place to check out but scan the menu before you go as it is not “Colorado style” food so be prepared to go away from your normal order and you should enjoy it.
I recommend visiting .
As for the food, the quality did not match the price. The Huevos a la Mexicana (pictured) were dry, overcooked, and rubbery, while the rice was mushy and lacked flavor. Between the unprofessional service and the poor food execution, we will not be returning. There are much better, more inclusive options in Westminster.
