Context for the 5 star: I had a long layover at O’Hare so I looked up a place to eat that wasn’t all the way in the city. I’m from Florida so I was not prepared to walk in 20F degrees.
I was the only one in the restaurant and they brewed coffee just for me. Good recommendations on food. Hole in the wall local spot so the atmosphere isn’t extravagant. Food is good (I’m not going to lie and say it’s the best I’ve ever had) with plenty of vegan options. I used to specifically plan around vegan options so this place solid. 4 stars on food and 3 stars on atmosphere.
Biggest reason for 5 stars is service. Good people and good vibe. At the end, Abdul got me another cup of coffee-to-go so I could brave the cold. I clumsily made a mess and he was more focused on making sure I was alright and cleaned up for me.

I am a serious carnivore, so let me start by saying, regardless of my appetite for meat, this establishment is awesome and they make some of the best food I’ve EVER had. They also made my wife and I feel very much welcomed and at home. Wonderful food and wonderful people. (We had the fries with chickpeas and sauce, a cheese quesadilla, veggie samosa, and the falafel sandwich – all of which were DEVINE.

Boon Cafe Fusion in Norridge (northwest side of Chicago) is a hidden gem! Whether you’re vegan or not, this place will blow you away. I had the Vegan Mac Burger with curly fries — absolutely amazing. The burger was flavorful, cheesy, and satisfying, and the fries were perfectly crisp.
The service was just as impressive — attentive, kind, and detail-oriented. They double-checked my order, made sure everything was right, and kept checking in to see if I needed anything.

We drove out here on a cold day to try the vegan menu. Absolutely amazing food! It’s probably one of the best vegan places I’ve tried, and I have tried a lot! The owner and workers are so amazing and accommodated our dietary needs! Def come try it. There are so many vegan options, and they’re delicious. I got 4 dishes at once haha!!

Really loved the Bandito Salad, just an excellent salad. I also really liked the Fu Fu Po Boy. We also got a half chicken and they fried it right then and did a great job. Service was excellent. We’re not vegan but they had a lot of options for vegans, which was great to see. It’s always hit or miss on high rated places that are vegan, but they had a lot of great options for everyone.

Boon Cafe is incredible!! We have tried every vegan item and everything is outstanding. You cannot go wrong with any of the sandwiches, and their loaded fries and nachos have the most delicious sauce. Their vegan mac n cheese is my favorite in all of Chicago. Our to-go orders are always correct, fresh, and prompt. Please do yourself a favor and go!!

The staff here is incredibly nice . Very friendly and welcoming . I was thrown off by how large the menu was and feared it couldn’t possibly be good . I was sort of correct. Majority of our “freshly prepped meal” was microwaved sadly. Fried food was great and was freshly fried. Appreciate the vegan options and for being in Norwood I’m grateful to have the options. I wish the Arabic food was made fresh daily. I was incredibly excited for that . It wasn’t . The rice was hard

Very clean food was fresh and the staff was very accommodating. I don’t like soft chips so I ask them to put the chips on the side and this was done without hesitation the freshness omg and the milkshakes were light and they taste amazing they are made with oat milk so delightful staff friendly def will be back
