It was decent. Fries, cheese curds, fry bread, chicken strips, all good. I wasn’t a fan of my fish sandwich (not much flavor) and the hubby said Patty melt was so-so.
For a bunch of food thrown in a fryer, it took a bit to get food.
Husband noticed that I told waitress twice about wanting extra sauce on side in addition to what was on sandwich and even reminded her when she read the order back but still had to ask for it when food was brought to us.
Cute place with fun atmosphere though.

Great food and a great example of a small town diner. We were in town for 10 days and ate here 4 times.

I have went to this Boomerang since it opened and have really good food and service until recently. This place has went downhill in a hurry. Last few times I have been here food has been subpar if you can get them to make the order correct and service has been terrible and you better know how to speak Spanish because apparently there is a language barrier or maybe they just don’t want understand.

So I was helping my friend move yo Pauls Valley, and we were getting a bit peckish. She had remembered that I was craving fried catfish the night before, and I had heard Boomerang Diner has the best fried catfish, so we decided to try it out, and boy, they didn’t disappoint! Our waitress Emily was so very patient with my many questions about their ranch dressing! She is bubbly and energetic! Perfect first impression! She was attentive and made sure our drinks were never empty and promptly came back to ensure everything was to our liking! Beautiful personality and hard worker too! The ranch dressing is house made and made it worth ordering a salad! The fish was so flakey and crispy and yummy I ate every bit of my order! Even the fried okra was on point! The atmosphere was so nostalgic and fun! I really, really loved getting to spend time with my friend while enjoying a delightful, delicious meal in a fun place! It’s worth the drive to head downtown Pauls Valley and visit this eclectic eatery! Two thumbs up! Emily even brought my friends ESA pup a treat of a bacon plate to go with her crunchy tatertots . I will be going back next time I’m in the area! So yummy !

Today was a good day for a Sunday drive. We went to Pauls Valley and found the Boomarang Diner in the original downtown area. We arrived in time for an early lunch. It was encouraging to see most tables occupied and we received excellent service. The menu offered a good selection of “diner fare” and we did not wait long for our order to be in front of us. The atmosphere of being in an older downtown building certainly added to the enjoyment of the meal. we will certainly keep this place in mind for the future when we feel like combining a meal and a short road trip.

We showed up to eat at 12 PM. Did not get our food until 1258 burgers were flat and cold fries tasted like they were Fried and Old fish oil. The eggs and hashbrowns were cold. The bacon was Under cooked. For a meal that cost over 60 bucks for three people we should’ve had better service I had to ask for ranch three times there was four waitresses. It was after rush-hour with maybe four tables The waitress we had out of four waitresses never checked on our table from 12 o’clock till we got our food and I had to ask what happened to our food when other tables were getting served. That was their 15 minutes. Worst experience at a restaurant in Paul Valley.

I got so nostalgic. Reminded me of Mel’s diner the TV show. They had these old men just tell jokes and stories….the western omlete was amazing. The staff very friendly. Easy to get in and out of a wheelchair. I recommend this one in Paul Valley.

I keep giving this place another chance. I’ve been to four locations. Always a bit disappointed. Average is a good way to describe the over-priced food.

I have eaten at this Boomerang Diner location for quite a while now and had always had a good experience…..up until recently. The last three times I ate there, the scrambled eggs were undercooked with the whites very runny. This is dangerous as someone could get Salmonella from this. On my last visit, I even mentioned it to the server and showed her. She agreed, but didn’t take the eggs off my bill. She just apologized. I won’t be returning to this Boomerang until they get a new cook who knows how to properly (and safely) prepare eggs.
